What's funny is I just bought a 93 ex coupe and thought about putting the same exhaust on which I may still do cause it's not bad and why not have a proper ricer shitbox
I gotta tell ya it sounded pretty awesome with just the straight pipe, have you considered straight piping it out the back I think that would make it sound even better.
Mic just doesn't pick how obnoxiously loud and raspy it sounds. I have a 00' coupe LSVTEC with a precision 67/66 turbo and a 93' Del Sol K24 with a Kraftwerks supercharger so people can't hate on how loud they are, but a single cam making a bunch of ruckus and barely moving will just be made fun of.
@AC-mr7is You aint lyin. I have a stock 95 D16 and it's loud af with no muffler. Even with this DNA muffler, which I have straight piped, is still loud and it has that horrible ricer sound.
As it should be, you need your cat because the o2 sensor tells the engine weather it running lean or rich, without that, the engine will run like shit, and if it runs to lean, it can burn out the engine. The resonator is also important because it gets rid of drone and only the drone, it doesn't make the car any quieter to someone outside of the car.
Alex Nather resonator does make the car quieter it quiets a different frequency then the muffler and you don’t need your cats it won’t make it run worse
@@alexnather7614 I dont have a cat, my car is missing ALL o2 sensors and it runs great, 0-60 is 7.8 seconds (obviously a bit more than an exhaust is done 😂) so almost a second and a half faster and that's with my shitty shifting too
Me too just joined the honda gang just picked up 1998 lx civic took manifold cat out replaced with headers and downpipe still got my lower o2 sensor hooked up and my shits running fine.
Help me pull the trigger. Did you use just the muffler piece on the stock exhaust? It looks like you did. I just want to replace the dingy muffler. It's super cheap rn
Hi, I’d like ask you a question. Here’s my situation I have 95 civic and it does have a I believe it’s 4” resonator which is like to remove because it’s too loud for me. And I want to install a regular muffler or exhaust don’t into the exact term for it. What would you recommend me to do? How or what do I sear for ? And if it’s really necessary to weld it or can I just bolt it?? Thank you for your help.
Hey Bro Hope u answer need help I seen on the back you said you had to get different bolt in order for it to go in did u put a gasket on the end also ?
I bought the cat back DNA for 100 I plan on getting a muffler off marketplace for better sound bc it is loud but bearable at cruising speeds. it’s fits good and bolted together nicely on my 97 dx hatch just make sure it’s truly for your car
@@divinemylftaker4401 man I sold that piece of shit i have a v8 swapped s10 now haha, I don’t remember how I went about that issue but I wish you the best of luck
To me , it sounded awful. Really awful! It was wayyyy too high pitched and screechy. There was no depth to it at all....no bottom. Kinda like when you hear somebody's car stereo and they have mids and highs turned way up and no lows. I'm not trying to be a asshole or disrespect you bro. I just KNOW your car can sound way deeper. I have a 2004 honda civic coupe my ownself. As honda civic 4 cylinder owners , we are ALWAYS going to have to work EXTRA hard to keep that high pitch ricey, pissed off bumble bee sound at bay.
It actually didn’t sound to bad straight piped.
the audio doesn't do it justice lol, fart cannon sounds alot deeper than straight pipe
Straight pipes sounded the best ✌🏼

Good stuff! I came across your vid cause I was looking for references to build my own custom exhausts for model cars. Great reference video 👍
that sounds pretty good imo haha, does it still have the cat?
Well so do you recommend the DNA? Is it really ricey do you get alot of cabin drone? The one I have on is ridiculous loud but ok cruising
HONDA GANG
Love your civics brodie💯
Sheeeesh what’s the wheel and tire size on the green car? The fitment is perfect.
I got no muffler😂 I feel sad for my neighbors. I’m saving for a exhaust
If you have no muffler can you straight pipe still
@@shlonglong7140 what? straight piping is removing the cats AND mufflers lol.
Civics are easy and fum to work on!!!
And cheap
What tool did he use to get those bolts off ?
Looking clean man
Thanks man
how long did it last? are the welds good quality or what.
Straight pipes and stock sounded 100 times better
these cars sound like shit straight piped and almost worse from the factory. next
it also wasnt straight piped. it was a muffler deleted lmao.
Yeah straight pipe 6th gen sounds Hella good who cares what people "think"
Thank you for not calling a “cold air intake” cold air intake is the intake taking in COLD air
great video bro, where did you get your coilovers?
A muffler delete on the 96-00 civic sedans sounds a lot more aggressive than the coupes

The rim link goes to an amazon page that show a 5 lug but says 4x100...?
Were you running headers on the coupe? If so what’s the brand!
Hi I get Honda civic 2003, my car can change the exhaust same with you car?
I got the same question
I could use your help ! If your still on TH-cam.
How many o2 sensors does it need if it's straight pipe?
stock exhaust sounded like it had a leak
Would this exhaust system work on a 2001 honda Civic dx?
Hey man what side skirts are those ( on 2 door )
what is the wheel/tire set up on the two door?
they look like enkei RPF1
Straight piped is cutting out the muffler resanator and the cats and replacing it with a straight pipe…you just did a muffler delete

Got a 2002 ex. What's the best size rims for these cars?

15”
I think 15 looks the best. Get 15inch wheels and low profile tires on them. That's a great combination
Shot horizontally:)
Can u put this on a Honda Accord?
Sam Williams they have catback systems for the accord, I just bought one for my 93
I have a question does a car need a muffler
For the car to function, no, but depending on where you live there might be legal issues.
Hey what happen with the vitara build?
Work in progress :/ the bottom end is still a little noisy. I need to drop the short block and go though it. It's just too damn hot outside.
GreaseMonkeyMods hey I hear the Vitara pistons have a little piston slap similar to a forged piston bottom end
Your car sounds better I took off the mufler without a pipe
