Nice flight. that norrow runway is a challenge.

That's true, but it keep the pilot flight skills on a high level 😀

    Hello Bukker,
Congratulations on your design, construction and very clean piloting. Designing a personal model for 3D printing is a long and tedious job that you have done brilliantly.
Flying this kind of model in November in Switzerland is a risky operation... 😅😅😅
Engine bugs are forbidden and you have to be precise on landing. An exercise that you carry out there also with success. Our club doesn't have a hard track, I stored my turbine model for over a month...
I have a feeling that adapting part of your design to LW-PLA material will improve the power to weight ratio and allow for more volume in your flight. The time invested in this adaptation will not be wasted. I follow the developments with pleasure.

Thanks Steevie 🙂 I normally fly also during the winter months.🥶 I agree, you have to take care during this season, especially for the landings... 😜 I did invest a lot of time for designing the Mirage. I'm working now on Version 6, maiden flight is only a few work hours away. For the LW-PLA I'm not 100% sure if I really gain a lot. The Mirage has a total print weight of 2050g in PETG. If I compare that to the smaller Labgang SwitchBlade 90(LW-PLA) with a print weight of 1556g, I would say my design is pretty competitive. Designing bigger EDF jets in LW-PLA needs more basic research in design and printing technique. I hope I will find some time in the next month for this project.

@@buckker9085 I understand your reasoning well and I have no doubt that to print at 2050gr in PETG is already very competitive. Your mirage is already flying very well and the design exercise has already been an undeniable success.👏
The theory could be that if you print your design without any changes in LW-PLA, you could get the parts weight to around 1200gr. This is of course not possible and I am aware of it but I imagine that between the 2050gr PETG and the 1200gr LW-PLA a hybrid model could exist.
It's just a reflection... It has no great basis except my experience. The LW-PLA brought me interesting opportunities in my design solutions.
But I know that time is precious and that you have to choose your battles... I also design my models and I have a small idea of the energy that there is in a design in its elaboration and in the publication of this one.
I wish you good luck for the future and maybe one day I will start printing your drawing who knows... Why not ?😃😃😃

Great !!!! Very good model and design. I follow you in rcgoups. I planed your model for a future😊

Good choice 🙂 I started to build a new optimized one. I did some small aerodynamic changes and also a new rib design to improve strength. I'm very curious about it. But this version is still in PETG/PCTG. The LW-PLA version needs a lot of engineering to make it really better than the PETG/PCTG version.

@@buckker9085 it looks to fly really great right now, is LWPLA going to benefit a lot? by the way, i will buy it for sure but the website its written in a weird language, any way to change that?

    • @buckker9085

@@antonioesposito8071 I'm not sure if the Mirage benefit from the LWPLA. Maybe yes, If I use a open duct system. The actual Mirage flies very well, so I don't see the need for a LWPLA version. But of course, I will keep this filament type in my mind for improvements in the future or maybe future projects. Regarding the website, it's actually not multilingual, it's a lot of work to implement it. But the Webshop is written in English. The rest is in German. Can you check it if this works for you? If not you can also write a email and I send you the download link manually. Maybe I should implement multiple languages.. Thanks for the hint.
