have yall seen Tusk?
@@jaym5739 Mike reviewed Tusk on his channel in one of his "disturbing" videos, not sure if Kennie has seen it. I wonder if Raw would work? I haven't seen it yet but it is on my things to watch list.
I don't remember the name but I know it's english and about some ppl. who get stuck on the tube at night and get chased by some weird creature/guy who's got a thing for murder
The Victim
Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down it's Spanish which is the rabbit hole Kennie is going down. It's ummmm yeah.
I wish the editor would put more clips of the movie in here. When Kennie and mike are describing scenes it would be nice to see what their talking about to get a better idea
Sounds like a copyright thing
I know right? Kennie does it in her channel. Like, they of course can't show the whole movie but they can show some pieces of it.
@@duckie4811 They can still show short clips of the movie lol most channels do when reviewing films.
@@hander929 i could be wrong but i do think some of her videos have gotten demonetized because of it ( i think the show girls one for example ). only thing i can think of is they don't want to go through the headache of having to deal with that.
@@trevvy2124 oh yea. She got a strike from MGM for that and then another movie. I think Mommie Dearest
When you say the movie is making him out as a mastermind but he's just Bob, I think that is probably a super accurate representation of most serial killers. They just do dumb shit and no one notices and does crap to stop them. Also can just be a reflection on society that most people are invisible and people don't report weird crap so nothing stops the dumb Bobs
That was exactly my take👏🏼
Making Vincent D'Onofrio unintimidating has to be a feat in itself. He literally only has two modes: kind, soft man and actual demon.
vincent d'onofrio was bob??? i only listened to this so i didn't see any clips if they showed them, but wtf? WILSON FISK vincent d'onofrio??? KINGPIN??? holy shit
I swear this premise, the taxi driver killing women and abducting the son, was an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent when Vincent D’Onofrio was starring on the show. I wonder if he was like, “This episode could make a great movie…”. I would like to think that’s exactly how this movie was made. lol
@@endless_del i LOVED him as Wilson fisk.
@asphalt-cowboy9479 same! and he's one of the most quietly intimidating antagonists in the superhero film genre imo. quite different from his comics portrayal but i think it was the right way to go with vincent playing him
When he was The roach-alien from Men In Black 😂
Vincent is more intimidating as the roach in MIB than he was here 😔
omg that WAS him, so true.
The fact that Vincent D'onofrio went from this to playing Wilson Fisk... I have questions for the director.
I'm commenting before i finish watching: From the sounds of this it feels like this is loosely based off of the Steven Stayner kidnapping. The guy who kidnapped and assaulted him told him his parents sold him to him and he was raised as his son for a bit. He eventually escaped when the kidnapper found another boy and Steven didn't want that boy suffering the same fate. Steven's brother actually ended up being a serial killer. So it feels like it took from both of their lives.
one of my new fav things is mike ranting and kennie just dying of laughter
us too!
This is the best episode so far between Kennie and Mike, the homie energy with non-stop laughs has been great. I want to know if either of you are going to put this review on your own channels. I want your individual styles on this review because this movie sounds like a hot asd mess.
appreciate you Gabi, the energy was 🥵
How do you mess up D’Onofrio as a serial killer? He was horrifying in that one movie with J-Lo.
Love Kennie & love how she compares this movie to Mommie Dearest. Her video on that from her BMAB series is amazing btw 👌🏿
Yes!!
Vincent D'onfrio was truely amazing as the Kingpin in Daredevil. He really sold the character of a man who is brilliant but also unpredictable in his rage. I both loved and feared him
I can't lie, the second Kennie said, "Buttered Toast", when comparing Bob to Ed from Ed, Edd & Eddy, I freaking lost it. 🤣
(Also, I want to point out that Vincent D'Onofrio was AMAZING as Pyle in Full Metal Jacket.)
I love seeing more Kennie JD content, she is one of my fave TH-camrs just in general, she is hilarious, witty, and always great to watch
Vincent D'Onofrio who made you do this film? He's a fantastic actor, don't base your opinion of him on this film...he's waaaay better than this.
Three Movie Deal
So true!!
I find it hard to believe that the lead did a bad role when he's such an amazing actor totally blaming direction here
Vincent D onofrio..is such an amazing actor... with a big catalog of crazy movies... private Pyle is still till this day maybe the best piece of ptsd acting ever
Kennie pls, tell people you make music! It's good music, please, more people need to hear about it!
Just going on these descriptions, feels like Bob (Vincent D'onofrio of Law & Order/The Cell/etc fame) is inspired by if THE Bob (Robert DeNiro) tried to play a campy psycho murderer (but not one with DID whose daughter is Dakota Fanning).
...also D'onofrio has done better threatening camp. I mean his possesing roach alien in Men in Black is my nightmare assumptions of rando winos on street corners.
I think it would have been a cooler end if the girl killed him instead of him letting her live. Like she was another protege of Bob the whole time, he was grooming them both but the final test was one of them killing each other. Nix the whole uncle thing. Too obvious?
Wouldn't work. Bob doesn't like women.
Vincent D’onofrio is an excellent and under rated actor. Between this and Rings, maybe he just doesn’t care anymore lol.
this film was done ten years ago, how does that dictate that NOW he doesnt care anymore.........#watchrecentshit
Anymore? He is doing amazing as Kingpin in Daredevil/MCU. Love him
@@darkydoom I mean about choosing his roles. He was way pickier when he was young. He’s still brilliant and his Kingpin is insanely good. ❤️
I couldn’t of clicked on this video fast enough. I saw this movie years ago. Fun fact: Jennifer Lynch is David Lynch’s daughter. She also directed Boxing Helena.. I can’t remember if either of you have seen it. If you haven’t I swear you will thank me later!
I can’t believe this is her follow up to Boxing Helena 😱 someone needs to tell her she doesn’t have to follow in her dad’s footsteps.
@@doloresv7336 I know! I actually started watching her because I like her dad, and was curious.. saw Boxing Helena and thought this has to be one of the campiest movies EVER. It was so much fun .. then she follows it up with Surveillance and then this. Totally different types of movies.
I absolutely love surveillance
what a waste of nepotism.
@@zombiegirl156 I can see more of her dads influence in that movie, but yeah I love that movie too. I’m pretty sure I still have the DVD. I should watch it, lol.
Vids like this honestly help me relax while I sand and prep to paint my car 😌 you guys are awesome
A near hour’s worth of consistent entertainment! They make doin basic chores feel like a breeze 💫
we appreciate you Tony!! thanks for watching
Tony the GOAT, thank you for coming by
hella late on this, but i saw this movie recently and there actually were a few hints that his father and bob were brothers; at the beginning his dad says “in one ear, out the window.” and granted, that’s not something that stands out a ton but it stood out to me because it’s not the actual phrase, the typical phrase is “in one ear, out the other”, and bob says THAT EXACT PHRASE to rabbit later in the movie. and the flashbacks showed that bob had a little brother that presumably had no resolution. i actually was able to call that rabbit was bob’s nephew from that line alone, so i’m kinda surprised that came out of left field for you.
Wasn’t there some kind of piece of mail that Bob receives that Tim zeros in on? I might be misremembering.
Isn't this actor the same guy who played the bug guy in Men in Black? Wasn't that character named Bob too?
Nope, the bug guy is named Edgar. But it is the same actor.
@@ViolentOrchid I was thinking his name on there was Bob too.
I have been a Vincent D'Ofrio for years but when this came out and noped out of seeing it. I guess I was right.
i think one word of advice is to probably do a quick rundown of the sequence of events of the movie, or add clips on what you're referencing. maybe im a dumbass and missed it but i feel we didn't even get a proper plot summary this podcast. maybe its the type of experience where i should watch the movie first to relate to the conversation, but i find it is hard to keep up with the content otherwise. i would describe it as hanging with 2 friends who are both interested in something and i awkwardly stand on the side trying to piece stuff together.
GG please do your own video on it, I miss your movie reviews
Another breadcrumb hinting at the twist was when bob said "in one ear, out the window," which rabbits dad had said early on.
kennie would you ever stream on twitch?? some content creators stream this type of content on twitch and then upload the video also on youtube!
maybe ;)
I LOVE THIS CHANNEL ALREADY !!!
Thank you for supporting!
Do Boxing Helena next! Same director.
This has to be one of the most random movies I saw in middle school along the womb starring Eva Green and one of the Dr Whos.
I saw you guys were talking about this, and I watched it before watching this video and I loved it unironically.
😊 my two faves
we do adore them.
You got A JARRITOS SPONSOR AYYEEE
I know kennie already did a BMAB about it but please talk about Mommie Dearest on camp counselors together id love to see yall riff about it
The killer raising a kidnapped boy as his own concept reminds me of The Dare
This movie kind of feels like a guy who gets treated like a movie serial killer and acts like a real serial killer. (Real serial killers are idiots who get away with it because its really easy)
I wish you guys did more movie reviews together!!!!
I thought Vincent was good in the role. I took his portrayal as based on Lenny from Of Mice and Men but conscious of the killing he does. His slurred speech, the name rabbit, the ending showing he is the "slow" brother. I don't know if this was the intention but I like to think it was
Just stopping in to say love the hoodie GG
Jennifer Lynch is clearly greatly influenced by her father and his tendency to blend high melodrama, camp, horror and surreal aspects. She just doesn’t have that level of vision and finesse to pull it off like him. She just doesn’t have much of any talent.
*spoiler*
Well, the only other bread crumb would be Bob's nightmare, cause there's a younger brother watching him get abused.
You guys really make this movie sound disturbing as fu** but then you laugh it off and say it's hilarious. And I'm here for it. I guess I'll give the movie a try and hope I enjoy it as much as you say you did.
I'm so glad i stayed up for this lol
Ohhh Kennie comin' for the effedupfilms crowd 😂
Loving more kennie time
Boxing Helena next?
Daredevils Kingpin is Bob and now I can't unsee it!
'we need to ADR bob's lines but the actor isn't available' fukkit, we need a male to read some lines, cameraman come with me. is that danny devito? 'we need some pickup shots of the family but the actors are unavailable' fukkit we've booked the equipment and crew, find whoever's available and write a twist.
THE OLD RABBIT LOOKS LIKE A BUDGET EDWARD CULLEN!!!!
Please please 🙏🏽 you guys need to review the upcoming 365 Days sequel!!!
I was hoping I was mistaken on the thumbnail, but no. Vincent is indeed in it and...sigh...
Check out the 1997 thriller INTENSITY starring John C. McGinley and Molly Parker and 2005 thriller WOLF CREEK.
Both movies are jarring and will leave you questioning why you're slightly grinning and questioning your hidden insanity. 😅
good lord how big is that water bottle? GG
🔥🔥🔥
Ha-mica mister jiji
that is donofio is a legend and is very scary. watch daredevil season 1
This is one of the few times I have to disagree. This movie was not as bad as you guys make it out to be. Its not a masterpiece but it was pretty good. I would give it a 7 only because I feel like there were a few missed opportunities to really drive home the disturbing factor that they missed.
This movie really isnt that bad especially considering it was made in 2012.
Is this a Gerald’s Game ripoff? 😬
Oh no, it’s much worse.
This a simple comment but I’m already confused 😂
🤩😍🥰
if they hint at it then its not a surprise/shocker. you are supposed to go "WHAT?!" not "I KNEW IT!". figuring shit out strokes your ego, it doesnt make the film good..........unless that is what you need in life and some people do. i like twists and shockers that i dont see coming. works for me!
I ship it.
Not me shipping Kennie and GG for literally no reason 😩
I thought I was the only one
@@mrmosbyslefttit I'm so glad I'm not alone 😂
