  • Making a Motorcycle Roll Starter from an old aluminium floor jack & a few bits n pieces! One of the last things I need to get the Norton to go. Just need to adjust the valves, set the timing make sure the oil system is all good & I hope it will be good to go!

I find it fascinating watching a master craftsman fabricate parts from scratch and build things. Your lathe work is first rate.

Hi, so how did your starter work out? Any update? Did one drill work? Or did you need two? Or did you fit a starter motor? Do you have a video of it working? Great use of an old jack. I have an old stuffed floor jack and getting too old to push start race bikes 😂 Thanks.

Thanks Tim! Sorry for being slack on that but I have had to stop on the Bikes while I get the Little Honda 's Body Done! Will give it a try soon & if it doesn't work will get a starter motor for it!

Mine is steel, I had the aluminum one as well, it broke the first time I went to use it!! 300 bucks! Brought it back and got a steel one ! The hydraulic cylinder didn't work
