How do you think most moms knew how to raise kids before the internet or child rearing books? You knew how to cook, clean, take care of kids because you helped in your family as a kid. Making you a complete adult able to take care of themselves and a family. This is why no one knows how to cook, clean, take care of themselves or kids
My one aunt has four kids. She definitely parentified the oldest two (both boys) whenever I had "sleepovers" with the younger two (both girls) when the youngest and I were 7 and the oldest girl was 9. The boys were expected to watch us most of the time...their oldest used to brush my hair or help us find clothes to wear...which I find weird as an adult. My aunt and uncle were too busy WATCHING TV OR GOING OUT THEMSELVES!!! Some of my friends had more than two siblings and none of them got parentified from what I can remember. But who knows, it's hard to tell what goes on behind closed doors.
I’m of the opinion it is impossible to properly parent and love each of your children if you have more than 3. Hell, my parents had my sister and I, and they still struggled at times.
Another case of "this wouldn't be happening if people cut bad people out of their lives". I hope someday op accepts that his parents are not and will never be good people
Ya know, these “ministers” should try reading the Bible some time. I think they would find Genesis 2:24 very interesting. “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”
Sounds like parents had two kids and then acted as grandparents to the remaining 7. Jane is unhappy because she ended up as a single parent to 7 kids. Those parents are a waste of space. They weren't there for you as a child they aren't going to be there for you now. The parents need their own councilling sessions to teach them their responsibilities.
Families with more than 3 kids are just parentifying the older ones.
More than one actual. Or if their family has members or friends that have a lot of kids.

We not gonna talk about how OP brought up how the 2nd youngest sibling died out of the blue
