The string instrument you mentioned is called a charango , popular in some countries in Latin America it looks like an ukelele but sounds different and with 10 strings. The lyrics are of poems from a Chilean Nobel prize winner (Pablo Neruda) Los Jaivas turned some of his poems into songs

Do You react to "Los Jaivas"? So I'll wait your 3rd and 4rd and 5th... reactions about them. Now I'll see again your 1st reaction. That "celtic" flute That you hear is really an andine flute. One of the principal elements in this band are folk influences, specially andine music, from north of Chile. I love them and I'm so happy you are glad to hearing them. My english isnt perfect but I can comunicate. Did you read the lyric? Maybe you understand why they always finish their gigs with this song. I liked this reaction. Hugs!!
Hi Marie, Greetings to you from me here in Canada. Your English is very good! Much better than my Spanish. Thanks for letting me know about the flute. They are a very cool band and I look forward to hearing more. Hugs 🥰

@eduardooscar309 Hi Eduardo, you are the best. Thanks so much for the background information. I am sorry rhat I don't know much if the politics of South America. I didn't realize that all that went on...that is awful. I hope things are better. Politics and leaders can make life really bad at times 🤩💙
Not bad, Sue .. As you said, it's a bit more accessible than the previous track of theirs you reacted to .. The vocal melody line and the male singer's voice were quite good .. I could have done without most of what followed the vocal section, but overall it was pretty OK .. Still don't think I'd choose to listen to lots of this stuff, but don't mind the odd number here and there.
@wayne_twentyfive Hey Wayne, I am in agreement with you. I love to experience music that is new to me and I like their musicality....lots of cool features and intricacies. It has an experimental feel which is cool but I don't know if I could listen to a whole album at one time 😁
Great reaction ❤❤❤❤. Los Jaivas are amazing. Please could you react to La Conquistada o Bosque Virginles, both audio versions? Hugs from Chile 🇨🇱 🤗 ❤️ 💖
Now I'm going to the beginning of my previous post Since you've made this and other reactions in Spanish And since you know I'm a fan of ABBA (I already saw that you made a reaction to Agnetha from her last solo album) Why don't you make a reaction to ABBA singing in Spanish? ABBA was able to conquer the Latin American market in 1979, with the colossal success of "Chiquitita" in its two versions, first in English, and then in Spanish, it swept the charts here In 1980 ABBA recorded an entire album in Spanish (10 songs) One of them in particular I want to suggest to you: "Al andar". (the spanish versión of "Move on" un 1977) "Al andar" has a certain reminiscence of this music from the Andean region, it's a hidden gem, you'll be surprised Keep in mind that the ABBA girls recorded their voices in Spanish just for phonetics, with the help of a Spanish journalist; and the lyrics in Spanish were a collaboration between the Argentine couple Buddy and Mary McClusky now again, a big huge for you, from Buenos Aires Argentina South America
@eduardooscar309 Hello, my friend. It is always a pleasure. That is a great idea. I will look into it. The Abba women were amazing to pull off all the languages they sang in and did it phonetically...unbelievable 🥰❤️

The start sounded almost Irish to me - I was married to an Irishman and a lot of the Irish music we listened to had the same kind of sound - flutes or pipes or maybe even recorders! I think this has a really good beat, it was interesting to listen to, lots of things happening - it was "busy!"
What an interesting track It did sound Celtic at first but them it became very cinematic It reminded me of a song that could be in Spaghetti Western and then i thought it would fit in old Martial Arts movies Youjimbo inspired Fist Full of Dollars and Seven Samurai inspired The magnificent seven So in some small way i hope my comment makes sense
@jessem470 Hey Jesse, your comment made complete sense and you are so right. This song takes us on a journey of different sounds and styles. It is very cool and very eclectic 🤩💙
Qué linda sos, respetuosa y virtuosa en tus comentarios. Esta forma de atender a los pedidos que a veces hacemos respecto a ciertos músicos y su música, en este caso, a nuestros admirados Jaivas.
There's another song from Los Jaivas, called "Desde un barrial" (From a mud place), which stats with a jew's harp (arpa de boca). Several reaction channels have said the same, it sounds like an Spaghetti Western track. Like any other song from this band, you can hear many influences, but basically, it's a "cueca", chilean national rithym transformed to Los Jaivas universe. Take a listen, you won't regret the bass, piano, drums and Moog's sounds. Regards.

How nice to see you reacting to South American songs in Spanish

"Todos Juntos" (1972)
by the Chilean group Los Jaivas
is a powerful song that combines elements of the most progressive rock with the folkloric rhythms of the Andean region
and very significant lyrics that call for unity
in difficult times for the neighboring brother country (as well as for my Argentina)

Chile was experiencing a time of economic crisis and the following year it ended with the overthrow of its constitutional president (with his death included) and the advent of a military dictatorship for almost 20 years
but I return to the subject
This is a very representative song of the group, which has been very successful especially in Latin America
it has come to my country Argentina with great success
the Chilean brothers have already spoken here much and well of them, much better than I,
so I join with my respects to their great music
