How to Line a Crochet Bag with a Base (Boxed Corners) - Tutorial

Here is the long awaited tutorial for how I line my crochet bags with a base (aka boxed corners)! I had originally filmed this last year but the video footage was terrible so I finally got around to refilming and editing. I hope this tutorial is helpful!

Thank you, really clear tutorial. My base was pill shaped rather than square/rectangle so instead of sewing straight across the triangle, I sewed in an arch shape to get the desired outcome.

Great video. Just a small tip. If possible use a zig zag stitch when attaching the lining, if using a sewing machine, or if hand sewing use
Small,close together back stitches.

This was a very great tutorial with thorough instructions. However, I do have a question. If my bag had an oblong base, how would you advise me to sew like you had around this timestamp: 8:46 In my head, I feel like sewing a curve would be enough but I’m not too sure

I haven’t lined a bag with an oblong base before but I think that you are right with sewing a curve. I think rounding the edge in accordance to the rounded edge of your bag base (I would try to trace the approximate curve of your bag so it matches) when making the boxed corner part would work :)
