Kevin and I walked the Portuguese Camino in May 2019. The weather was perfect. Our daily pattern was walk, eat, sleep, repeat. To say it changed our lives is a gross understatement. If you are planning to walk the Portuguese route, I hope this video serves as inspiration as you prepare for your journey. If you have walked the Camino, I hope it brings back memories. Hi Anita,
I just came back from doing the Portuguese starting from Lisbon on March 31st and finished in Santiago April 30th via the Litoral Way. Had 5 days of rain leaving Lisbon and 5 days arriving in Santiago but I had a great experience meeting great people, passing some wonderful landscapes, enjoying some fabulous foods but most rewarding of all was meeting the most wonderful & generous people who on the heat of the day they come out to greet you, offer you water, coffee, cake, and their oranges ... nectar from the gods🥰🥰🥰
The people along the Camino are wonderful. Glad you had a great journey.
I am looking forward to your future Camino adventures🙏
My husband and I are planning El Camino del Norte this summer, and El Camino Portuguese next year. Last year we did the Iconic Camino Frances from St. Jean-Pied-De-Port, and it was such a wonderful experience!
I did the Norte last summer. Beautiful route but lots of tourists so plan accordingly. I booked most of my accommodations well in advance.
@@TheProfessorandHerPassportBooking ahead seems to be the consensus nowadays as most Caminos are very busy and not all albergues are available
