if you must install it on a guitar, the better choice is the mini kaoss pad. The kaossilator is more to create sound from scratch than to manipulate an input. Matthew Bellamy from the Muse used a Kaoss Pad 3 on his guitar.

As great as the Kaossilator app is on iOS there's just something cooler about actual physical devices, and even though I already have the original Kaoss and Mini-KP, I can't help but want to try these out ASAP :) I did appreciate the 5 record banks in the app, and the fact that you could change the sound after laying down a motion. The only thing I can't seem to find an answer for though is the loop length on the KO2. On the original it's 8 beats or 16 with a little cheat, and on iOS it's all t

That little kaoss pad loses no functionality from the gigantic one.

Is if I load the loop on the SD card in the Mini Kaoss Pad 2 is the playback will be looped automatically? Is it possible to play on it looped loops? Is it possible to change the tempo in bpm?
Looks awesome! Just wondering though - The Korg Mini-KP had an issue of drastically lowering your output volume. Has this been fixed on the Mini KP 2?
Yeap. They pretty much nailed it. I like the small things. Like showing what note you're hitting and visualising on the screen scale/key signature you've chosen (really awsome).
Just one question. Can you upload a prepared drum loop to Kaossilator's MicroSD and jam on top of it or the playback is restricted just for Kaosspad?
Still no MIDI (eh...) but damn it looks fun to jam with anyway.

Which one would you recommend for beat boxing on the go? I have a korg kp3+ that I have set up in my room. Which one of these would most be like that?
It has a harmonica, but obviously it sounds pretty synthy.
Ah, didn't realize I broke TH-cam's character limit. I just finished by saying the iOS version goes all the way up to 64 beats for each loop. Does the KO2 do 16 beats for each bank then?

is it possible to use it as a (guitar) looper? I would like to use it with Yamaha Reface to record musical ideas.
@@RadekPilich I think you can actually, as it records loops and you can add fx to them.
do you mean have a kp2 on each turntable?
@@gixerags750 you can use 2 mini kp's on their own without any turntables as a portable mixing setup with a mixer, as they have built in music playback support with pitch control (not terrible timestretching but proper speed control of wav and mp3) just load them both up with music on 2 SD cards and youre good to go, the line out quality is top notch too so they sound great.

So with money burning a hole in my pocket I set out to see if the music community has met my needs yet; specifically, I want to tap out rhythms at my computer workstation with my thumbs, and record it for dance tracks.
First on my agenda is this electronic paint that would let me put down a number of touch sensitive pads in front of my keyboard along the soft edge of the desk perfect for thumb tapping. Asking that I was pointed to your ultimate fidget spinners, before being turned on by you to Specdrums, which I ordered the Limited Edition in a green I hope they choose from my palette, the old Milles Bornes car racing card game. And my first ever smartphone to play Specdrums and other music apps will ship in just a few days.

Kaoss Pad 2 support 32 o 64 Gb on Micro sd?
The manual says that it supports micro sd up to 16 gigabytes. Are you sure that more than that capacity does not work? Has anyone tried it? Thanks
can you save fx settings, on the kp2 with bpm's? I would need instant recall of fx settings, with bmp's during a live setting. thanks

I ordered one today and will be using it primarily with my old Kaossilator and my guitar. However, I'm curious - I see there are some pre-loaded patterns and beats. Does anyone know how many choices there are, just in case you want to use it stand-alone?
Will the kaossilator 2 work in place of my kaoss pad in my ibanez kaoss guitar?
So: wich of the two, would YOU say is best used or most versatile for acomplimenting my dj-ing? I'm puzzled between the two, i like 'm both, but for now can only afford 1, they are getting cheaper each year though..... most desired use: i need to keep a certain track going instrumentally or use lyrics from another song. Maybe even create some thing new myself from combining several things of something old. Or better go for the bigger choice of taking it all in the big pad?

A unit dedicated to Effects is most practical and would get the most use.
The pad synthesizer (Kaossilator 2) takes too much time to use on the fly for us DJ's.

Not entirely. The audio interfaces on those things probably would distort the sound significantly
How much price of this thing
Korg, what power supply do u use to power these little guys? batteries are cool, but they only last 5 hours at most pending on usage. Can u use the KA193 power supply 4.5v DC 500ma. The manual doesn't give the Mili-amp rating,
I use a Nintendo DS power supply for mine. I think it's 5v. Yellow barrel tip.

I have a (maybe dumb) question: If I connect the Kaoss Pad Mini with my 3DS and want to record a song from the "KORG M01D" as a mp3 on the micro SD, is this possible?
It isnt a sampler...the KO2 can record, but only for a few bars...not a song.

Shut up and don't take my money! Be warned! The Korg Mini-KP had the bad flaw of drastically lowering your output volume. If Korg (who ignored complaints) hasn't fixed this issue for the Mini-KP 2, there is NO REASON to buy it.
When you add continuous mp3 play to this toy? Did you ever see a dj which stop playing after 1 song? What kind of party I will do? Why I can't leave it unattended? It's just toy for home djs so why it's not have user friendly functions? ARTIST AND PROFESSIONALS BUY REAL KORGS NOT THIS TOYS (I bought KP2 to start play with music)Why it's not has USB 5V? Instead of that why there is 4,5V when 2 AA batteries are 2,4-3V? Why I can't connect it to USB or have Li-ion which will play much longer?
