TTC Streetcars damaged during flash flooding

- Nine TTC streetcars were damaged during a flash flood earlier this month. Two streetcars, pictured almost completely submerged, had to be shipped to the U.S. for extensive repairs.

Dude, it's not the Bomber's problem when some dumb bum TTC driver decides to drive a streetcar into a lake.... That idiot driver should be fired.
He was dumb but probably wanted to see what would happen lol
And that clown still has his job and the taxpayer has a huge bill.
@@kevinn1158 Now I know what I'm going to say is not all correct, but I'm just going to play devil's advocate for a second. Given that rails can be extremely slippery with the slightest moisture, the driver may have failed to brake in time before the giant pool. Even if this was not the case, where else is he supposed to go? sure he should have stopped but then if he couldn't, he can't just go around, streetcars are not cars, they cannot go around what the tracks to not.
Why does Toronto still have street cars it's a waste of money
because we have greedy out-of-touch city councilors who are finally being shortened in numbers. (not enough though)

They make the city look modern.. what would you prefer?
People wanted them. And its helped other things. Some cities built new ones from scratch.
@@franki3Ru550 a bus would be better because it's not confined to a track it can go around obstacles and change routes which would mean less wait times
@@jachtancrozomer1508 Or trolleybuses, they are electric so they are as eco friendly as streetcars and they can go around idiots blocking the road!
Get rid of the street cars. Get ride of the bike lanes. GET RID OF TORY!
Would you like to have around 200 - 300 new buses cramming the road instead?
