For anyone wondering, this charger isn't able to maintain a 100w sustained load. I tested in a 25c room and it would always throttle down to 70w after about 20-25 minutes.
Spigens 65w gan651 charger that i use to 1. Super fast charge 2.0 my s24 ultra. 2. Charge both of my older macbooks at 60w consistently. It's a beast for only $25USD
That's always the issue with these ultra compact 100W chargers. The Ugreen Nexode Pro / X 100W faces exactly the same problems. Even the new 100W Prime can not sustain 100W. But longer as this one atleast.
You're the same dude from Amazon I think, cuz this is same comment. Does any of these chargers worth for a laptop or should I grab the type c charger from the brand?
@@fejotore Yeah that's me. If you don't think you need sustained 100w for a laptop, I'd probably still recommend this charger if you're looking for a small charger just due to how tiny it is. Even when it throttles to 70w, that's still a decent amount of power relative to the size of the charger. I don't think you'd consistently be pulling 100w on a laptop anyway unless it's being used and charged at the same time. If you want a charger that doesn't overheat and throttle, my favorite one is still the Anker Prime 100w 3 port A2343 charger. Specifically the A2343 and not the newer slimmer 100w 3 port A2688 charger because I've heard that one throttles as well.
@Ben-dm4du The bulky one? Yeah I know that one well. I use my laptop on conservation so it's between 70-80% (maybe it draws less than 40w?), so idk maybe it is worth it cuz it won't draw that much power sitting almost idle in such case scenario.
What do you think about getting two of these to charge a C300 DC? It'll be ~200W for the first ~20 min, and then ~140W until it reaches ~80%? That's still faster than the 100W solar. I also have two 737 power banks, so when the C300 DC tops off, I can use the two nanos to charge the 737s. That's the idea anyway. Ideally, I'd like two 140W chargers, but Anker doesn't have a solution for that just yet, at least not for my use case (charging in public, non-desktop).
@@wwjoshdew Thanks. It'd be good to know because these nano chargers are more affordable than Anker's other options. Hopefully they come out with a more dependable replacement for the 717 soon.
I have two CHOETECH 100 Watt GaN chargers with dual USBc ports. I can pretty much fast charge anything. The key is to bring a charging station so you can charge your iPhone 📱, Apple Watch ⌚️ and AirPods 🎧 simultaneously using a single USBC cable. The ANKER MAG-Go is a nice travel companion. No need for all of these ridiculously expensive ANKER charging stations. Better to charge your laptop using the appropriate included charger. 🔌
Sweet. I do believe that they do throttle down after a spell. But this may be for heat and safety. Most batteries that charge use less energy as they reach thier max charge anyways.
Two of those ANKER Prime 100W should be more than enough to charge everything. When I travel, I set up a laptop and device space on a table so I don’t move my charging devices around much. I see no need for those expensive $170+ charging stations.
This thing gets SUPER HOT... I am charging a 16"inch 2019 model macbook and it draws around 45-65 watts maximum and even goes down to 25w..... come on Anker wt is this?
I haven’t had time to test. I made this video after work, went to bed, got up for work, and then got home and edited it. Then went to bed while it was uploading. This was just an unboxing and first look.
@@wwjoshdew Can you please check if two of these will fit in a standard duplex wall receptacle without flipping one upside down? It's difficult to tell from the video if the prongs are directly in the center of the charger when unfolded.
BUT it is one of the most useful, albeit unused output modes. I use 12v from USB to power tons of my stuff that would otherwise require an ac brick. Same with 19 and 20v
19v???? What Also, get a PPS trigger and set to 12v so you have a limit up to 5a (total 60w). It’s complicated but hey I don’t dictate what PD voltages are mandatory.
I bought this day one on Amazon. It is the hottest charger I have ever used. Not warm. HOT!!

Could you try testing it out and charge a laptop that draws 100W by type C?

Would love to see the new 10k MagSafe battery pack, heat management and charging speeds
Amazing, thanks!
Glad you like it!
can you link the USB-C charging meter reader?

I hate how all these new chargers are skipping 12V PD Profile, it's so handy to power 12V dc devices
I’ve read this model thermal throttles and can’t maintain 100W. Did you see this in your testing?
It throttles after around 20-25 minutes. I can confirm.

You acting like a kid in a candy store 😂😂
yup!!!
He's a kid, on Charger / Power Bank store😂
122 g + 60 g = 180 g
It's so cute!
12v is not a part of the PD protocol.
I know. keep watching, and you'll see that I point that out.

This thing throttles after 30 mins of use.
FIRST!
Nice video btw
