    For track use only, R1.
    For road & track, I must say GSX-R but my heart will still go for the CBR.
    The ZX-10R? You give it to me and I'll take it with no regret.
    Seriously, pick the one you like the most (look/power/suspensions/brand etc...), you won't be loosing. For most of us, we cannot even use the full potential of those liter bikes...:)

      all of them are a great man I have sat on them all as far as comfort goes I list them like this GSXR, ZX10R, CBR, and last and least was the R1.

      Ha NONE of us can. It literally takes a professional to get anywhere near using all of the power these bikes offer today. Shit for the last 20 years realistically. The 05-06 GSXR was almost 200hp back then. I had 2 of them. Didn’t need all that power. Honestly probably would’ve had more fun on a 600. But I just couldn’t say no to flickin that throttle on the freeway with gobs of power in any gear at any speed.

      True. The problem with sport bikes are unlike a car, I've never been to a dealership where you could test ride one. The closest i've found is the 30 minute 10 mile rule. Basically you buy it, and then within 30 min or 10 miles, you can return for a full refund. This makes it really hard to cross compare unless you have friends with each of the bikes.

    I feel like you undervalued the fuel gauge massively; in day-to-day use, it is an enormous convenience to know, at a glance, how much fuel you have left. Now I know having ridden bikes without fuel indicators that you eventually get a feel for when you need to fill up, but would you ever buy a phone with no battery indicator?

    • @HeroRR
      @HeroRR  6 ปีที่แล้ว +26

      I agree with that, but I do set the odometer every time I get gas. It's habit now for me, I do it on all my bikes even though they have fuel gauges, I even do it in my car.

    • @650hpreventon
      @650hpreventon 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Someone should make a dip stick as fuel gauge, after refuel, you should know where you going. Let's say 20 miles, your bikes can do that for 500cc gas no problem. My 12 r1 can do 45mpg at 70mph. So a round trip 40 miles you only used 1gal.

  • @mdalikazi
    @mdalikazi 6 ปีที่แล้ว +44

    1. Sitting on a bike for few seconds in a dealership does not tell you if the bike is actually comfortable. I found the R1 the most uncomfortable in the dealership, but I bought one and it is very comfortable to ride. I am 6' tall, my feet dont lie flat on the ground on the R1 but I still have never spent even a second feeling that I feel out of control of my bike. Ride the bike before you say which one is comfortable. The fact is, super sports are simply not as comfortable as other types of bikes.
    2. Disagree with your idea of "Practicality". Most people use their bikes on the street. Yamaha's data says 90% of their commercial bikes spend time on the road than the track. Most of them never ever see the track. So when you talk about power in the low range, a lower power band might be better for the road as you really dont want to end up accelerating so fast that you feel nervous in traffic. On my R1 the throttle is just shy of being too powerful for the traffic. But it is absolutely practical and I love Yamaha for making the power band the way they did. I personally would be worried with too much power on the lower end in bumper to bumper traffic daily on my way to work.

      Ali Kazi I just bought a 2018 blue r1 and I love it. Still breaking her in though. I’m going to put a full Austin Racing Gp1 ceramic coated inconel exhaust system on her. I have the bike in my living room I love it so much. I’ve had her for 2 months and only put 67 miles on the odometer. I can’t wait to hear that sound still need to buy the power commander 5 and k&n race air filter. I’m also ordering a ECU reflash unit by BAUCE Racing. After the dyno tune it’s going to be the best ever. My old bike was an 07 GSXR 750 and I bought that brand new too. I had a full r-55 Yoshimua stainless steel exhaust, power commander 3 usb, k&n air filter, speedoheeler, one tooth down in the front and two teeth up in the rear, and the dyno tune by AF1 Racing when they were in New Braunfles, Tx. But 28,000 miles later the R1 was the best liter bike in my opinion.

Only a couple of miles , 30 / 40 mph zones, tight corners , hard work but really rewarding to feel like you are pushing its handling to the limits. The ride home at 17:00 is an excruciating stop start 10 mins of clutch slipping , trail braking 15 mph ball ache in contrast. Agree with ya comment, gotta ride em to know em!

    This was an enjoyable comparison of 4 very capable and relatively affordable high performance bikes. After years of riding several brands of bikes, I've gradually become a huge fan of Kawasaki, now owning a 2018 ZX10RR, 2015 ZX14R and a 2016 H2 with full Brock's Stage II @ 170 HP. There is zero value in arguing which liter bike is 'superior' as the averages of every measurement makes them all, actually almost identical. Besides that everyone who buys any of these bikes will replace the factory exhaust, removing the cat and dropping significant weight with instantly noticeable power improvement. Most will also reflash the ECU netting substantially more power. Unless your name is Jonathan Rea or Mark Marques, we are unlikely to approach the potential of any of them. I hope some can appreciate these observations as further consideration of the subject. If anyone wastes their time busting on the owners of any of these bikes, they completely miss the point of riding and ought to get a life. What a fantastic time to be a fan of high performance motorcycles... the power and technology available today for such low cost is literally phenomenal! Rock On Brothers!

    Bad research on the zx10. The 2016 version got a visual upgrade compared to the 2011. Actually I think they changed quite a bit in terms of looks. You also showed the wrong presentation video. You showed the old (2011-2015) version and not the 2018 model.
    Practicality: You went to the dealer to sit on the bike? How do you know which bike was most comfortable? Could you sit on it with both feet on the pegs, like on the road? Otherwise it wouldnt make sense since you sit differently with only one foot up...
    About the gauges: How could you put the cbr before the gsxr? The gauge on the cbr shows way less information than the one on the gsxr. The gsxr should be before the cbr, especially considering the fuel gauge. Seems like you're favoring the CBR...

    • @HeroRR
      @HeroRR  6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      1. The ZX10 shown in the video was the previous model, but the reason being is that's the only creative commons video I could use, I have to be careful not to get a CR strike. Also '16 did get a visual change which is shown in all the pictures, just not the video. The visual changes were very minor though, I wouldn't call it a complete redesign, in my opinion it was more of a face lift with a different exhaust.
      2. What can I say, that's the best I could do. I was able to put both my feet on the pegs (while on the kickstand) to get a decent idea of the seating position. I spent a good amount of time sitting on each and I also read reviews from other riders to get a decent idea of which is most comfortable. Believe me I would love to ride all of these and give you all a proper review, but I just don't have that ability, maybe if you know a dealer in the NE area that would allow me to do that then we can work something out, until then I have to work with what I got.
      3. The CBR has nicer gauges, of course that's just my opinion but i'd much rather have a TFT display than LCD, the only thing the GSXR really has is the fuel economy, which I would much rather have the TFT. Go ahead and google the GSXR & CBR instrument cluster. The GSXR's is all blocky looking because it's not a TFT. The CBR's is nice and refined looking.
      As mentioned in the video it's all personal preference, of course i'm favoring the CBR, it felt so good when i sat on it, moved from the side to side the light weight was incredible, literally felt lighter than my 600, and yes, this one was full of fluids as it was a used one. If I was going to buy a JDM Liter bike then the CBR would definitely without a doubt be my choice, followed by the GSXR and then the R1.

      @@sangtearspa9298 thats what i said, all these companies, especially Honda ,give all their money to the racing prototype bikes and left the consumer market with the same old engines and chassis. Yamaha is one of the few Japanese manufacturer that has so much development and new engines in the motorycles WE buy. Moto GP is just a commercial . And Yamaha's problem in moto GP is the top speed, If you pay attention their chassis and mid torque/mid corner speed is better or at least the same as the other manufacturers. World SuperBike Championship is soooo much closer to the reality, of the bikes we buy. I'd advise to focus more there and not on MotoGP. And BTW the only Honda that leads is Marc Marquez, because he is a very good rider (But very agressive imo) the other riders Nakagami, Crutchlow and most imporant Jorge Lorenzo , who has many victories with Yamaha and Ducati, is always between 12th and 18th spot this year with the Honda.

Because most people barely use 50% of the bikes awesome abilities and power on the street or track! First off, Honda has always made comfortable/dependable performance bikes. They are also proud of them reflected in their price. Second, you cannot judge a bike solely by the numbers. I have seen bikes that supposedly have more displacement not feel as fast as some bikes that have lower numbers. Handling cannot be judged by the numbers either.
    Here are my picks...
    1. Kawasaki ZX10R
    2. Honda CBR1000RR
    3. Yamaha R1
    4. GSXR1000

    The Suzuki GSX-R1000R (2017) I own one and it is the most comfortable to me, I took over a year to buy it and saved $5,000.00 when I did bought it, March 2018 Brand new old stock, and the Dealership did a price match on the price I found in Alberta. The single headlight does take away from the look I agree, but in person it is nicer than in photos, surprised me as well, when I first got it as I was riding a 1987 Honda CBR1000F Hurricane and that is a 600 something pound bike. The Suzuki is 200 pounds lighter I thought it was a 600 they had wheeled out from a distance. I haven`t had any troubles, The traction control can go, as can the Launch, & Power control. The GSX-R1000R the 2017 is or was listed at $21, 899.00 Canadian Dollars. I got it for $16,899.00, which is, was less than the base model Gixxer. This years 2019 ZX-10RR is Green and they are only making 500 of them, IT is Beautiful, I was trying to talk the Kawasaki Dealership into taking mine with over $8,000.00 in upgraded parts for one, and I would pay some, They want $28,599.00 Canadian Dollars for it, NUTS!!!! I do think that this years ZX-10RR is the most Beautiful superbike yet!!!

It's true that in most street situations, it won't keep up with my 2015 ZX14R or my 2016 H2 with Brocks Stage II @284 hp. But on a track where RPM can be kept high, the ZX10RR is a beast. And besides the WSBK Championship winning power output, the suspension, geometry and rider position far exceed the skill of most riders. The brakes are not on par with Ducati or BMW but they perform more than well enough for my needs. I have no doubt you are a much better rider than I am. I don't compete. I ride for fun. He states at the end of his video that the differences between the bikes are all based on who is riding and that most of us normal riders wouldn't be able to truly ride these bikes to an extent that we could truly determine which is better.
