Hi Arthur. Ditto. I've been in awe of this band since their first album. Andy & I did actually do a reaction to The Spoils last year on Into the Music, but it got lost in the ether somewhere. Maybe it has found its way through a wormhole to an alternative universe, where Arthur from the Outer Rim Territories is commending those crazy Terrans on their taste. I'd like to think so. Cheers, Jon.
@@theaudiophiles7889 After hearing your comments about insects, I wonder whether that is the basis for this video from the same album (featuring Martina Topley-Bird th-cam.com/video/gU-gz06cJCc/w-d-xo.html
Takes me back to freshman of hs when all I had was a portable fm radio and every Sunday I would listen to this station in Austin that played downtempo, electronic and trip hop. That’s when I became a massive attack fan
I owned the first three albums but lost touch with the band after Mezzanine, moving to Turkey and spending the best part of a decade there . I enjoyed this track. The arrangement was very spare, but like Andy, I enjoyed the strings. It doesn't impress me as much as the standout tracks from the first three albums, but I would definitely give the album a listen.
There are so many big tunes from massive attack, let me list you a few to listen to Flat of the blade Rush minute Saturday comes slow Eurochild Five man army Day dreaming Sly Group four Pray for rain Blue lines Girl I love you Dissolved girl Man next door Black milk
Thanks for the comment WonderMomma. I see you're an OG, so I'll be careful with my response! On the previous channel Into The Music (where Andy and I met through the lovely Greg) there are reactions to Angel (my favourite Massive Attack track) and Teardrop. You should check them out. But I have other songs by them lined up for Andy. If you have any other choices let me know. We have a list of viewers' suggestions from which we select and drop every Friday. Cheers, Jon.
Hey StillonEarth, thanks for your comment. Of course there are loads of people who adore 100th Window. It just didn't do it for me. Especially as I think Mezzanine is one of the greatest albums ever. But there's room enough for all opinions. Thanks again. Cheers, Jon.
One of my favorite songs by one of my favorite groups! Hope Sandoval to boot!

Un álbum muy bueno de Massive Attack! Tiene tremendos temas❤
much like risingson by them which is also chilled but creates tension which never surfaces :)

I listened to the album. It's quite strong. In fact this track was one of the less immediate ones for me. Good recommendation. 👍

You gotta watch the Luther series.
Talk to the American! I've watched it from the start, and back-to-back every episode twice during lockdown.
Cheers, Jon.
