Great Vid with plenty of info as usual. Just for interest, today I fitted Cooper Discover AT3 XTL 295/70-R18 on standard wheels to my 2021 Trailboss with a 2 inch level kit with out rubbing anywhere!

I recently put a Ready Lift 2 1/4" Level Kit (SKU 66-3086) on my 2018 GMC Sierra SLT 1500. I kept the stock "snowflake" 20 x 9 rims. I also changed the 275 / 55 - R20 factory tires to 275 /60 - R20 Michelin Defenders. I thought I did my homework and asked the Off Road & Speed shop and the Tire shop if they thought there would be any issues with rubbing, handling, or stress on other components. They assured me that I wasn't changing anything drastically. There shouldn't be any issues. All I wanted to do was level my truck out. And, I needed new tires anyway and didn't want off road tires. The stock Goodyear Wranglers were absolute garbage when I bought the truck used. They were worn and the handling sucked. So after the install, the first full lock turn I heard this weird noise. Didn't think anything of it. Drove some more and same thing happened turning the other direction. I thought for a minute that it was the new tires squealing on the asphalt but after further investigating, noticed the powder coating had been worn off on the A part of the new upper control arms. The tires were rubbing ever so slightly at full turn. Back to the Off Road shop, a few calls to Ready Lift and another to the shop that installed the tires. The tires weren't supposed to rub but they did. The only quick solution was to add 1/2" spacers all around. Ready Lift made good on the two spacers for the front but I had to purchase the spacers for the back. The Off Road shop installed all four for free. My goal is to eventually get rid of the stock rims and go with a 12 mm or 0 mm offset to get rid of the spacers. I believe but haven't yet confirmed the offset on the stock rims but my research shows they are approx. 24 mm. Or, somewhere between 22-26 mm. I couldn't find a good source that lists the factory offsets. If anybody has this information, I'd love to hear it.

Yeah I've been worried about the kit I bought It's a rough country 3.5 knuckle lift with lifted struts It says to use 1/4 wheel spacers with stock wheels . hope those will be enough . Great video !

Thanks for the video. I was looking at the stock wheel specs and it shows the stocks are +26 offset. If you went to a 0 offset wheel that should give you enough clearance without having to go into the negative offset. Does that sound right?
Man I bought this kit from 4wheel parts. Guy said yeah your 33x12.50s will be fine on stock wheel with this kit. Tore the passenger front side apart put it all together for nothing lol. Mounted up my wheel and it wouldn’t even spin it was up against the UCA so bad. I was pissed and had to have my truck and couldn’t get spacers in time so had to put it back to the 1” leveling kit. Now it’s at a shop getting put on with new wheels with bigger offset 😂.

I got 2" sst on my 2020 tb 6.2 and fitted 17" fuel rebels with 315×75x17 tires no rubbing issues at all

Ngl a set of HD clearance lights would fit the stormtrooper look really well.
With stock 20 inch wheels & 35x12.5s I had to add 1 1/4 wheel spacers & do some trimming to my 2021 AT4. Looks bad ass & rides nice!

Brand name is brute. If you could find an inch spacer that’s all you really need unless you like the look of the wheels outside a little. I’m getting used to the look.

Motofab recently came out with a set that works with factory wheels, including 20s. Just put a set on my 19 slt. Has good clearance

Do you have to use a hub centric 1/4” spacer or does it matter? The one you used seemed to be universal.

What offset are those 22x12’s? I’m looking to put 20x9’s with 1mm offset on my trail boss with 33x12.5 tires but I’m hung up on if they are gonna clear that larger ball joint
Just installed a set of 295 60x20 BFG KO3s on my ‘19 Silverado . Just the slightest bit of contact with the right side splash guard in reverse at full lock. Factory ride ht. and wheels…
What kind of offset do you have on the aftermarket wheels? I have the same lift on my ‘23. I may order wheels online just want to make sure I get the right ones.

So I put this on my GMC AT4 and I put spacers on the wheels because they didn’t fit (method 18x9) 35/12.50/18. My left side tires on passenger side sticks out more than my right side tires? Is there any reasons?

I’ve had no problem with the ready lift kit and my stocks… and I’ve taken my truck off road with no issues

Well stock tires fit fine with the 8" readylift.

That truck looks so much better without those large wheels are smaller tires. The Silverado deserves meaty tires. It's too sexy of a truck to ruin it with those big wheels and small tires.
275 factory width tire is only 1/2” narrower than the 11.50 nitto’s you have. And 20x10’s would look good with those tires.
So the factory wheels and tires would fit because they'd have more clearance?
@@leir2005 I don’t know but a 275 is a little narrower than a 11.50 tire
I think it would look much better if you make it perfectly leveled..
Are spacers the only solution? Why wouldn't ReadyLIFT provide spacers with the kit if it's known to rub? I have this project coming up and NOT looking forward to it now due to having to add spacers for a simple leveling kit.
If you stick with the 275/65 tires that come with the truck it will clear. He’s running 285/75 here

It depends on the wheel offset. I had 33x12.5 with 22s on my 2020 silverado and they fit without a spacer and didn’t rub the control arm

I posed this exact question to a ReadyLift customer service representative and they said I could fit a 35 inch tire on stock rims without a spacer as long as the width was 11.50. Spacers run hot and cold man, some people will swear by them and others will condemn them so I wasn't looking to run them. I have yet to try out this set up though
