- Hey Horse Lovers! This has been a WILD week going to different auctions searching for a new horse to add to Free Spirit Equestrian. We have been driving all over searching around! In this video you will see our last auction and final effort to find a potential horse before heading back home. This time we are in Ohio looking to purchase a stock horse or a draft. In this video I find a horse that I LOVE but there is something going on and something intense happens... Moreover, I will also give you advice and tips on what to look for when browsing a horse sale. Buying horses at an auction is an investment of time, energy, and knowledge and it's important to know the risks that come along with that! She became calm WITH YOU! She kept wanting to get your scent when you first looked at her and when you walked the isle after buying her it looks like she took several deep breaths because she remembers you and your kind touch. This beauty knows you are going to be her anchor. And yes, she makes you look tiny! She is the ideal hunter/jumper conformation. And young. Remember---the Lord put your name on her for the good of all. Thank you as always for sharing these experiences with all of us. Hey Kyle--that mare is just the right size for you to trail ride with.
💕💕 Big thank you to Kyle for saving the day and untangling that little pony whose tie rope was caught up in her hooves. You wrapped the rope right around your hand. I know there's a way to do that, so that if the horse startles and jerks you, it doesn't slice your hand. I don't know how, so I keep watching your videos for the little tips. Y'all did great, Kyle!

@@freespiritequestrian She looks so much bigger in the videos. But then you're 2.5" shorter than me. So there's the 2.5" I was adding to her height. I used to say I was short everywhere except the backside of the race track. I was average height there (at 5' 2.5").
I watched this video a second time after seeing the later video of how special and happy Belle is today and that she was with foal all this time. I was brought to tears and I am not a crier. So many thoughts like if you lost the auction because I feel in my heart that Belle was meant to be yours as your paths crossed just in time.

That is the definition of saving the best for last. Besides being gorgeous her movement is to die for. She simply floats. Looks like a very special horse potentially capable of doing so many things under your guidance/training. Will enjoy watching your journey with this special mare. So happy for you both. She reminds me so much of a horse I used to ride. Big, graceful, yet elegant and so much fun to ride. You are so lucky!

Since you do Disney names I thought I would suggest Jasmine or Nala! She is absolutely stunning! Or Esmeralda or Essie for short!
I think Cinders because of the dappled dots. She definitely was giving Kyle the flirty side-eye when munching that hay.

I was hoping you'd find a dapple gray like the yearling in your last video and you did!! I am so happy for you and Kyle but also for her. That was the most emotional auction video yet! I had the strong feeling the last auction would be the one. I was screaming at you on the screen not to bid on the first mare. She was beautiful - but the left front leg looked really bad. The bay roan was looking good - but seemed a bit stiff in the back. I was heartbroken along with you! And then - the mare -

I love watching this video of how you connected with and found Belle. It seemed like she was dropped off just for you! You had no idea you were getting beautiful Ezzy too. It is so good you followed your heart on this one and pushed for her. I wonder why they said she could ride and drive? She may have been backed. She is so sweet and will be fun to train. This is my first time to comment. I wanted to just praise your obvious love of horses. When I viewed your video of Nacho, it was so heartwarming when you were giving Nacho a bale of hay for his overnight before taking him home. You noticed the horses on either side of him had no hay. You made sure to share with the other two horses. Only a true horse lover would have noticed them and then gave them some hay also!!! Love that so much ❤❤❤❤
The first mare was beautiful but like you said you noticed a potential issue there. Could see it on the video. I felt your pain when you made the decision to let the other mare go, but I truly believe it was the best decision. This horse turning up at the exact time she did just proves it was meant to be! What you were seeing in the other mare was worrisome, and you were right to question her soundness. You definitely got a superior horse at a fair price! I'm so happy for you!

My very first model horse I bought was a schliech dapple grey Percheron stallion. This video still gets me. I’m so glad to see where Belle is now. God always finds a way for animals to find their person.

She's really gorgeous, as Shae says. My jaw dropped, too. And healthy, too. I was so happy that Shae got her way under the $20-40K she normally would have gone for. I think the economy is slowing down people's bids. Timing is everything and a great connection to spirit.
I was so glad you didn't go for the paint mare. That front left looked REALLY bad definitely not worth the risk. And look at the absolutely gorgeous horse you ended up with!!

I am pretty sure when they brought her out to the auction ring they called her Bluebelle. She is truly spectacular, absolutely gorgeous. Such a lovely demeanour, just perfect. I have been following on for a bit but had to come find this video as I missed it. I cried with you !

I just watched this AGAIN, it's 2 weeks before Christmas and I was a little stressed so i watched this again because it's so sweet and Shae's happinesa is contagious . So before I turn in I'm going to watch when its discovered she's pregnant and the video when Ezzy ia born. Pure and genuine feel good happy happy times that make me happy and put my mind at ease- thank you Shae!!

As a retired horse trainer watching your videos is a thrill for me, i enjoy them so much and they bring back decades of memories. Thank you so much. You probably already know but when picking up a foot always lean your shoulder into the horses hip or shoulder. This clues him to what you want and enhances your assessment of his attitude about being handled. FYI

She is absolutely DIVINE!! She is my dream horse. Though where I am from, the prices for Percheron or Perch crosses are just insane. Most are also so inbred that they're not great build wise and would definitely break down too young in life. You are so incredibly lucky to have found such a gorgeous girl. Quite honestly if I were to name her, I would go for Disney because it would feel like a fairytale. ❤🤍❤
