Hi Julissa! I picked this up from Ulta a few days ago and used it to style my hair this week. It definitely has a learning curve and takes a while honestly! I found it worked super well for heatless curls as that helped my hair not get so frizzy. I am also a curly girly as well :). I think your hair looked better with the Dyson Airstrait. The Revlon took too long and with the brush and the hotplates it is definitely more damaging.

Ive also learned that I need to use product and which ones to use and it made all the difference. Ive got that damned wella $100 stuff in my Ulta on line cart now lol. I still haven't used my airstrait from dyson but tomorrow is the day I try it.
Girl, you said it took you an hour to just dry your hair before styling! That is insane!! I can get a straight look in 40 mins with blow dryer and flat iron and my hair is your length. I purchased this to see how these types of tools work and to decide if I want to pay $499 for the Dyson. My hair doesn't take much heat with a styling tool to dry. I was impressed with the temperature of the heat which I think will be enough to get my hair dry. We'll see.

I noticed in your video for the Dyson, you didn't use the boost setting. Manes By Mell has a video that details the instructions and I definitely think you should watch it. I know that Dyson spent 9 years developing the Airstrait, and it seems like Revlon just made up their own as soon as Dyson's hit the market. I would definitely like to try this, if anything to dry my hair smoother before flat ironing to get better results. This also might be good for touch ups after the shower.

I liked the dyson result better. By the time you finished you could have use a round brush and a flat iron with better result. I agree with you it looks like it would make your hair get frizzy. 😩 I was hoping it was going to work so I could get it instead of the dyson but I think I’ll just go for the dyson instead

Hy Julissa. I like the Dyson Airstrait better. The REVLON is more affordable, but with the Dyson your hair looks so beautiful. With this One your hair didn't look smooth. I think this only makes sense if you’re trying to travel and one want to take one tool in your suitcase. Or if you’re looking for something without already owning a hairdryer or straightener.
I think this would be more comparable to the Drybar Straight Shot Blow-Drying Flat Iron, since they both have heated plates. Just from the description of both.

I kinda wanna try the Revlon one because I'm not a huge fan of the one I have right now and my flat iron is definitely gonna self destruct soon LOL. I think I might eventually cave and get the Dyson one but thats probably still gonna be a few years away.

Wait so somebody explain to me, so I fully understand. The GHD duet style and the revlon air straight- how exactly do they operate? Does the air and the heated plates work together or can you activate just air on its own, or do the heated plates automatically turn on with the air too! Just curious to know Ps Dyson Airstrait is a product I never knew I needed in my life. Love it soooo much ❤
Have you ever tried the very old school hair serum called cherry bomb? Somehow when you were talking about that wella product I randomly remembered about this cherry bomb serum. It was so expensive but I remember it made my hair so soft and silky

OMG I've been LOVING the Drybar Final Call! I just spray it all over my hair after styling (as the very last step) and my hair doesn't get as frizzy when I use it! It really is so worth it! I'm actually going to Texas soon so I'll put it to the test out there and film some tiktoks about it! 😝💕
Haven’t watched the whole thing yet but I’m guessing your filmed this before you tried the Dyson? Also how did it work with the Dyson after filming? Did it frizz with that after or not really?

Literally can only get it two years after you get it overseas. I ordered the original one step after i saw your first review. Waited two months for delivery, and then when i finally received it, it was broken. My husband thought it was hilarious. I literally cried. You can now finally get it here. But not any of the other vlow dry brushes. And not even the one step plus. Still not avail here. Really suck!!! I hope this will one day be available in south africa

Yeah...this one is a fail for sure. Too bad. You get a better and straighter result with a regular round brush blow dryer to be honest. And it would be way faster too. Thanks for showing it off for us!
If don’t put high don’t expect your to get dry making the product look bad if that why they gave there product free they needs to wake up and smell the coffee and stop giving you there stuff because your putting the product down OMG😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

I give up on heat tools. My hair unfortunately hates the heat styling. I'll just stick to my diffuser and save up for other things!
