Africa must not forget the true nature of modern mental colonization that is significantly camouflaged wrapped within the blanket of political dialogs, good deeds and donations. To be free from a burden of expected mutual back scratches in times of politically or raw materially motivated tight spots, Africa must learn how to remain aloof from the shoulders of foreign aid in order to gain powerful self-confidences and speak its mind without a sliver of guilt when it is called up on to reach a verdict or provide a political or raw material supports especially to the foreign powers that are always at loggerheads.

Soft power strategy, will not ever be as bad as the hard power strategy we have witnessed in recent decades in the form the military interventions, food crises, spreading of illnesses we have seen get implemented by western powers. Is a soft power strategy good/nice? No, but it is nicer and better. Therefore African leaders will choose it. Simple. We should not forget that all of these things were done recently. It was not that long ago. The west has not changed in centuries. Let's give China a chance I think they are way more reliable and not afraid to come in humility and humanity even if it's fake.
