    I really appreciate these brush paining videos because not everyone has an airbrush or can use enamels where they live. Seeing that something like this can be made if you know enough about the craft helps me feel like I do have hope to improve.

    Simply a great result with this good executed work on the Tiger II. Absolute cool paintwork with this color pattern.
    With this weathering and the mud it has become an outstanding model and this in the small scale. Great!

    I really like this model. I enjoy seeing the War Thunder color schemes because they are really unique and colorful. The extra tracks on the side of the turret was a fun addition I never see on any other tiger 2s.
    I noticed that your base coats are becoming smoother as time goes on and looks near airbrushed on the flat parts, a place where I still see visible brush strokes and the "brush texture" that is visible on a lot of hand-painted models, my own included (not a bad thing, but airbrushes are naturally smoother with correctly mixed paints). How much did you thin down your paint to get that consistency? Your green tone was a great color, and its partly the reason I prefer to mix my own paints with a few basic colors.
    My favorite part of the model was the weathering on the bottom. The wet and dry contrasts looked really realistic. I am considering getting those life color muddy paints.
    Another great video in such a short time. I'm glad that your friend enjoyed his gift!

    • @Modkits131
      @Modkits131  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow! You’re actually surprising me with your well worded and detailed comments. I’m impressed really.
      I thinned down the green base coat a little more than usual and I just made sure to keep the consistency after each layer. I made sure not to flood surface with paint, just by keeping the paint on my brush to a medium amount or small.
      It’s awesome to hear that you enjoy my videos and models, as well as possibly helping you along the way. But thank you, I’m greatly appreciative for such a viewer like you and your feedback. And yes my friend loved the gift. :-D

    l hate individual track links in 1/72 . Why can't Revell and others mould the tracks / running gear in one piece plastic ? The tedious , boring and sometimes stressful assembly ruins what is mostly an enjoyable build . That said a well constructed model and a excellent paint job .

  • @KJ-kn8pg
    @KJ-kn8pg 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Just re-watching this, in 5:51 if you want to be more precise, just apply the super glue to the wire only, not to the plastic, like that you make no mess and by my experience its glued to the model just as good.

    • @Modkits131
      @Modkits131  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the helpful feedback. Yeah I don’t know why I didn’t apply the super glue to the wire, as I usually do. But the toothpick was not as effective in this case lol. :)
