I said my sailboat can run about 7 mph. My friend said that is really slow. I was like, yeah it super slow for a racecar, but it is blazing fast for a house!
What a lovely, adorable couple! Greg could be a professional tour guide - I'm guessing that's not the first time he has given tours of their boat! Nice to see you branching out into featuring other modes of living tiny - as Greg says - boats are the original tiny homes!
You did an awesome job of presenting your beyond spectacular home. It was succinct, informative and joyful . Yours was the best "tour" I have watched. Thank you.
Thanks so much for this fascinating and really educational tour, Greg, Renee and Marley. I loved being aboard. Your boat is really beautiful, and so much bigger inside than I thought it would be. Hahah, the other big surprise for me is the swinging stove; of course it is necessary, but in all my years I never thought of that or wondered about cooking on the rough open water. So interesting. My only lingering wish is that you would "take us along" on a trip on the open water sometime, and film the actual sailing of the boat and the daily life aboard while you are under way! That would be wonderful...full of wonder! ETA that so often music in a video is a distraction for me, but your music was well chosen and perfectly tucked into spots where it did not at all interfere, but only enhanced. :)
So happy you enjoyed, and thanks for the feedback! They are a wonderful folks. We unfortunately didn't have time for trip on the water with them, but that would have been awesome to experience and film.
This was a cool video. I knew nothing about sailboats and I learned some really good information. Thanks for explaining the different parts of the boat and how they compare to tiny houses. And the stove is trippy!
"hang on for dear life while your cooking", dont know why but they and that comment cracked me up...now i want that even if i end up sea sick........."your not usually hugging your tiny house" lol
Nice video, thanks! :-) One question, you mention it is a Pilot House so you can sail from inside, but I see no wheel or controls inside, only in cockpit at the stern. Did I miss something?
Wow very Kool!! Seems like they thought of everything in the 80's. Beautiful Boat 😊 My question would be ..was there ever any times when it got really dangerous? Or sketchy out on the ocean?
Like driving, sudden accidents can and do happen. We do our best to have practiced things like man-overboard drills, fire drills and what happens if....drills! But overall, with practice, sailing is pretty safe and fun most days. With modern weather forecasting, we can now avoid most of the really bad storms. Like having two masts, We also try to have backups for everything that might go wrong!
Ok..I'm pretty long time sub..but very few comments...What kind of boat is it???... I also am very much into boats...that is a remarkable layout for an 80's boat and I would really like to know what it is???
I will admit it, I've been intrigued by boats for some time now. a year or so ago I learned about the Great Loop and I've been pondering on how to go about tackling that adventure. Or maybe just tackling the inland waterways part of it since I think I could build something like a flat boat pretty easily and not have to worry about the corrosive nature of salt water The only problem, my experience with operating boats consists of earning canoeing merit badge in the boy scouts.
@@TinyHouseExpedition Thank you for the encouragement! It looks like sailing is out for me due to there being no classes within a few hundred miles. As a very handy fellow the idea of an offgrid solar/wind powered electric boat is very tantalizing. although, if it's wind powered I guess I could still call it a sailboat :P
About the same for a newer tiny house - Prices are all over the place - New sailboats in the 35-40 foot range cost $100-$200k plus. Used ones run $30-$120,000 - ours, a 1984 39 footer in great shape cost $90k 15 years ago but is now worth about $65k - www.yachtworld.com is the best place to look at them all!
Jeffrey Clement again thanks for sharing your opinion. We'll agree to disagree. Like we said we made it more in-depth intentionally, and yes sometimes an aspect was introduced than later explained in more detail.

After spending thousands on replacing the rigging for my masts, you sold me on this boat! I love your unrushed tour....

Glad you liked it, and thanks for watching! Greg and Renee are the best.
what a fantastic tour and beautiful video! Greg did an awesome presentation !
We love Greg!
Best live aboard sailboat video I’ve seen on TH-cam. Loved the jazz music...

Glad to hear it, and thanks for watching! Agreed on the stove, the gimbal feature is crazy.
Beautiful boat, thank you for the tour. I’ve just started to research one of these boats to start my cruising lifestyle.
Marley is living the good life. 🐶
Indeed!
Wonderful presentation with fabulous presenters on a gorgeous boat! Need more adjectives!😎
Nice job and right around the corner from my LAND house!
Ok well screw the tiny house idea, I now want a sailboat!
Awesome! A tiny house on the water :)
The ability to actaully sail to ANYWHERE in the world at NO extra expense of FUEL= INCREDIBLE!
Glad you feature all types of tiny homes. 👍💖
So many ways to tiny! ☺️❤️
"hang on for dear life while your cooking", dont know why but they and that comment cracked me up...now i want that even if i end up sea sick........."your not usually hugging your tiny house" lol
Can learn a lot about efficient use of space from sailboat design.
So true 👌
Born and raised in edgewater. Spent my childhood on the Chesapeake with my dad.
Now I live in flatwoods WV!
Just thought it was a neat coincidence
You treat your guest like ROYALTY:)
So gorgeous!
Freedom boats are American made also. With the carbon fiber mast you don't have rigging which needs to be replaced at a costly expense.
Nice video, thanks! :-)

I think Marley adored Alexis.
ohhhhh i just found this blog .. i think i seen yall before on soSAILize . Keep up the good work :)
Absolutely lovely, and very interesting. But what I kept wondering was, how does potting work for Marley?
He's small enough to row ashore....and can use a bit of astroturf in a pinch!
Greg Cantori 🤣♥️
Good show of his boat

It's a 39 foot Freedom Pilothouse Schooner. Freedom built a number of stayless mast boats from 20-45 feet.
@@GregCantori Thanks man...
@@GregCantori Beautiful Boat. I'm considering whether to live aboard a boat myself. Not sure I could get used to living on such an angle though lol
@@davidturner8301 I hear that! Definitely worth testing out before diving into the lifestyle. ;) Maybe look for an Airbnb rental.
@@davidturner8301 we live on a sailboat full time. You're not heeled over all the time lol. Just a bit when you're underway.
This is so cool.. I am from Connecticut.
So much good from CT ☺️
What a nice tour and a nice boat! I like your dog, Marley. What's his first name?
Bob!
I'd hoped so!
@@GregCantori Good one!
Hi do Greg and Renee have their own channel/insta feed anywhere that you know of? Would love to hear more about this boat!

We have friends in a similar skill situation that took an intensive sailboat course, graduated and now live full-time on a boat. You got this!

Does your dodger fully collapse to the bow? Or is it ridged?
what a nice boat. Very nice inside. we dont get better on a catamaran from same size. And much cheaper
Now I want a sail boat. It would have been nice to know the price of the boat.
Good point! We tend to forget to ask-- maybe we're overly polite. We've seen online for sale listing between $45-70,000.

So so pretty my dream to to own a boat one day!
Go for it! Cozy and adventure ready ☺️
Is it safe, what about high tides.
So interesting and I don't even like boats!
I hold on when I cook, and i'm not on a boat!
Boat hippies!
Hello 😶🙂😲
Jessy Rhino hey Jesse! 😁
@@TinyHouseExpedition Hi🙂Thank you❤
you're not allowed to use the word theoretically anymore.
Nice boat but bad editing. Way too much information and repeated. This could have been done in a ten min video.
Thanks for feedback. We've found that many enjoy the in-depth details; our most popular tour, with over 2.5 million views, is also about 30 mins long.
@@TinyHouseExpedition Still would be nice to have a shorter tour of the actual boat. And still not an excuse for an editing mistake.
Jeffrey Clement again thanks for sharing your opinion. We'll agree to disagree. Like we said we made it more in-depth intentionally, and yes sometimes an aspect was introduced than later explained in more detail.
Jeffrey Clement you’re an ass!!!
