Lukas Nelson has seriously found his own distinctive voice and style. He's been really developing into an amazing musician but with this album he has really arrived with his own unique blend of rock, country, funk, and cosmic music that's all uniquely his own sound. With songs like Just Outside of Austin you can hear the classic roots and his father's influence but Find Yourself shows that he's done just that and he has made a huge statement about this is definitely his own sound and his own music. The whole album is just amazing I think he's taken what he's learned from his father and Neil Young and he has put it all together with his own unique blend and we are lucky enough to be witnessing it because they are definitely just getting started. The music he did for A Star is Born is absolutely amazing and they deserve each of the awards they are nominated for. I can't wait to hear what is next from Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real because they have really hit their stride and it's only getting better and better. I am sure that it must be extra hard when you are the son of Willie Nelson and every single interview or review starts with someone saying that he's the son of Country Music Star Willie Nelson and he is always so gracious and courteous about it, but it has to be difficult trying to step out from behind that kind of shadow. Willie Nelson is a living legend but Lukas Nelson has really shown that he is his own man who also happens to be hugely talented. It's Awesome this is one of his best songs and the entire album is just one great song after another.
