Thank you so much. I didn't realise I could remove any of the parts apart from the water tank. But the bottom light on my machine seems to be permanently on. Probably because I didn't realise the difference between cleaning and descaling.

When I clean my tassimo, I clean it at night by soaking all removable pieces, including water tank, in steradent over night then wash everything well in the morning. Everything ends up sparkling clean and ready for use. I also keep a soft dry shaving brush for getting rid of coffee grounds around bar code reader.
Thanks for the video, I have a similar model and it seems to get clogged up badly occasionally and I wondered whether an Ultrasonic bath might be a more thorough cleaning method for the spout etc Do you have any experience with these or do you consider the cleaning methods you suggest as the only method required?
My daughter has given one of these to me - lovely jubbly - but oh so temperamental! Reviews on Amazon ..man said he bought set of brushes for funnel part? Very hard water here too - even the dog refused it. Great to have all your info though, thank you 😊

I got my own Bosch Vivy 2 Tassimo Coffee machine that use spring filter water instead using tap water that build like limestone that I never used in the machine and descaling every 3 months/year?
@alexwright2761 Thanks for commenting Alex. The amount of limescale will depend on the hardness of your water supply. It depends on the rock that the water runs through (think of the stalactites in the caves in limestone areas like the Yorkshire Dales). It sounds like you are lucky enough to have a soft water supply 😀
My cup light is on, no other lights but when i press it nothing happens and i cleaned it thoroughly just using yellow disc to run clean water through it.
I find an old toothbrush works better to clean out the pod area of the Bosch. Great advice on the citric acid. Can this be purchased at the local drug store or chemist?

Really need to do a deep clean as my machine has been stood for a while I’ve done about ten service cycles washes and I get the odd speck rarely

ho what is the black tablet inside the tunk need to be removed?
I think it stops the water flow if the level is too low. You don't have to remove it when cleaning the machine

What if you don’t have a service disc?
You will need a service disc. You can buy one on ebay for less than £3
Where do you buy pods? I find them so expensive. Looking for somewhere cheaper
As far as I am aware, Asda are normally the cheapest (3 packs of 16 for £11).
Sometimes tesco has discounts with club card, 2 packs for 7 pounds, which 4 packs is 14, if buying in a bulk.
