Thanks so much for uploading this. Some of my earliest and fondest memories are of watching the trains with my Grandparents at Dundee, less than a year after this was filmed. Very evocative!
Spotted 47708 once again, propelling the push pull train to Glasgow. Despite very few 47s in this video, I've found one I have on my layout. This is the Dundee station I remember as a kid in the 1980s!
Ok, so I just watched a brilliantly shot 4k video Modern Dundee station th-cam.com/video/U6Bt8KYAYvs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gSgM2j2qMvqUqzEo I'm guessing it was 2 or 3 years ago... and the video is beautiful, but I came away thinking how steralised and tame the railway seems now, then I looked for a 90s video to see if nostalgia was tricking me, this is hair raising compared to modern day. Thank you so much for this. Makes me wonder how much I missed not having a chance to watch Steam during its pomp 😢.
Yes also it was an interesting decade and I also think maybe the start of a declining interest.....many thanks for your continued support Duncan....Mark
