    I own both FV and Camber. If you are on the east coast and deal mainly with icy conditions , go camber. The FV on ice is not fun but bring it too powdery conditions, it’s an absolute dream to ride.

      @@nanocalderon1997 I never going to buy a flying V again. All my boards will be camber in the future. I like to get some speed and pop. My last board was a CAM/ROCk (camber between legs + early rise) and that worked fine as well. I never tried the step on but it looks like a nice kit!

    I hit like after the first 30 seconds or so, thanks so much for that great video and advice! Im checking out your other videos soon 🤙
    Just one question: When you said the flying V is better for hitting sidehits I was a bit confused, as from my understanding the camber has greater pop and thus is the better choice if you want to go for these fun sidehits?
    Thanks a lot in advance!

    • @Buckmans
      @Buckmans  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Thanks so much!! We try 😁. To answer your question. Long story short. It takes more energy, control, and effort to turn a cambered board than a rocker (Flying V) so while yes. Your correct. Camber has more pop. You will achieve more air with a cambered board. But. It’s more difficult to achieve that. It’s much easier to turn a rockered board through side hits. You just won’t achieve the “snap” of a cambered board. For an advanced rider. A cambered board will be loads of fun. But for some one who is still progressing their confidence. But enjoys that “style” of riding. The Flying V will just be easier and more forgiving. Hope this helps!

    Just got the custom camber because of a great deal, although I am sort of a beginner (starting to link my turns and get through greens/some blues).
    Any tips for a beginner who is a little intimidated by a board that’s geared toward a more experienced rider?

    • @KillerWhale806
      @KillerWhale806 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I was in basically the same boat. If you are decently athletics, or have any experience in other board sports I think you'll totally be fine. It definitely bites harder between turns. At first just really focus on getting your edges right on your turns and be really intentional when transitioning.
      When I say be intentional I mean before you transition from heel to toe edge really pay attention to getting the board in a good heel side carve, get it pointed straight, then transition to toeside. Don't spend a lot of time flat between your turns, and don't try to transition without straightening the board out first.
      Once you get the hang of it I think you'll be really glad you have the camber! Good luck!

    I’m an intermediate/advanced rider, 60% of my time on blues and 20/20 on blacks/greens. Not into jumps or park, just love surfing and carving down the mountain. However I’m on the east coast where snow is kind of icy. Which one would you recommend? I think that based on style it would be the Flying V, but for the icier conditions the camber one. I don’t know which one to pick!

      Hey Thomas. Thanks for asking. The Flying V would be better at lower speeds, it is also much more forgiving! So if your still learning in the small park and doing lower speed carving (green/blue runs) the Flying V would be favorable. But… the camber will give you more grip, on ice and steeper runs.

    • @lukewynen4713
