This band just refuses to become a shit hollow version of themselves. I have no idea how they're still not only going, but thriving. Hitting 30 gave me some existential crisis, ngl, but somehow for completely different reasons to my childhood, bands like SotY continue to be amazing role models.
Its nice to see a band sticking to their core sound and feel and still write unique sounding sounds. I love it when people are still creative in their signature sounds and not having to be "more radio friendly" or be more poppy.
This is the best album yet! Every song takes me back to one or more of the past albums. Growth in every album! Been a great ride these last 20 years. Keep it coming!

The Black Swan and The Constant vibes. This album has everything! They were the first ones to mix post-hardcore/pop punk/emo/melodic hardcore with alternative metal/alternative rock/post-grunge/hard rock.

This song is the perfect adaptation of the band because you can hear sounds and styles from each and every one of their albums all in this song and you could literally place and fit this track right into any one of their albums and it wouldn’t be out of place and would blend right in to each of their albums which all do have different sounds but they always manage to keep that signature story of the year sound which is actually a very hard thing to do that most bands have failed over and over trying to be fresh and unique and creative and different yet not losing the main characteristics that made them their fans in the first place.
