Aaron so since this is your first time reacting to Gfriend I wanted to let you know this is the first time this girl group has ever done something drastically different. Gfriend initially became popular for their orchestral, innocent, and dramatic sound. They've tried to change up their sound back in 2017 but at the time people were just getting used to their sound and were not kind to the change. They rose to popularity around 2016 but made their debut in 2015. They became known for their insanely in-sync and tough choreography. They're known as one of the best dance groups overall. They're also part of like the top 5 most popular girl groups in Korea right now. They consist of 6 members. They came from a poor company and joined together with Bighit because the ceo of bighit is best friends with Gfriend's company's ceo (Source music). I recommend reacting to their initial stuff first such as Time for the moon night, Rough, Me gustas su, Navillera, Sunrise, Crossroads. Some of their songs that include a sound change are Fingertip, fever, and Sunny summer. Their debut song was Glass bead.

For me their best title track, cause suits my music tastes and also for 90% of the audience, it’s FEVER. that song was amazing and it made them even more popular. Its a tropical and pop bop. They have an own style, they change it every time but fever is likable at first listen, unlike other title tracks. They have a different vibe and style

I liked this song a loot. The concept and style is kinda different from their previous releases, but i liked.
If u you are interested in listen to more songs from them, i recommend: Fingertips, Navillera, Sunrise, Rough and, my ultimate favorite Gfriend's song, the masterpiece, Time For The Moon Night. Their style are different and, for some people, it's a nah or yass. Gfriend are known for their sound, vocals, energetic choreo and, of course, for being crackheads.
(They are friends with Twice and Red Velvet too. U can see a lot of interactions and also collaboration stages)

Please don’t be mistaken, Gfriend’s company Source Music is now a subsidiary of Big Hit, making them a “Big Hit Label” company, but they are still a functioning company on its own and Gfriend is still a Source Music artist and not technically under the same company as BTS and TXT. Bang PD has said before that Big Hit’s artists’ storyline could/may connect but that doesn’t necessarily apply to Gfriend since they are not a Big Hit Entertainment artist, they’re under a subsidiary.
That butterfly was part of Gfriend’s story way before Big Hit came in to the picture. It first appear during their 2016 Melon music award performance and has appeared multiple times in their story since then. Only their last comeback and this one was produced after their company became a Big Hit Subsidiary. People like to draw connections between Gfriend’s storyline and the other BH artists and that’s fine, that’s what theories are for. But personally, I don’t think it connects and to my knowledge, its was never said that Gfriend’s story would connect to BTS or TXT.
Gfriend really is an amazing group. They are huge and well loved in Korea. Definitely top 3 or 4 girl group there with the others being the big 3 company groups. Their music always charts high on music charts, they regularly sweep music show wins, I believe they have the 4th most wins for girl groups (again, the other 3 being Big 3 company groups), and they are regular winners at year end awards. They also have the 2nd and 3rd most music show wins on a single song with 15 wins with Rough and 14 with Naverilla. Btw, this song is far from the usual Gfriend song and concept. They wanted to try something new and different for this comeback. I think in order to grasp Gfriend, you should start from the very beginning with Glass Bead :)

That's kinda like the point why it sounds like that. Kinda like they're hypnotizing you, one reactor said that they put you in a trance. That's how their songs work. They let you feel what the character feels in the MV as far the story goes. If you've heard them before you'll probably know that this was a huge change to their brand. You could try to give their other title tracks a listen so you can distinguish their usual sound. They are actually known as 'performance queens' in music shows since they have great vocals, stunning visuals and synchronized choreographies. You can also watch their dance practices if you have the time because of their insane synchronization and energy which is very entertaining. As for the story of each MV. I'm excited to see you reacting to their other songs because Apple is really different from everything they did. My favorite Gfriend's songs are Rough, Navillera, Time for The Moon Night and Sunrise. And Gfriend actually were from Source Music, some girls (like Sinb the main dancer) trained in Big Hit, but after that scandal with their gg, she went to source music. And now Souce Music is part of Big Hit labels, this comeback is the first one after that.
They created the theory since debut and followed with the theory's flow. They usually have trilogy kind of albums. Three albums that connect to each other.

G.friend are beasts in the 3rd gen gg, vocals, dances and writing/producing ,, they are trying new style and i appreciat them they are amazing
They are one of the most stable vocalist while dancing. And they are known for their synchronized dance and 2x dance speed dancing. This is a new concept for them. And yes you are right, the three universes are connected. They all have one thing that they are related: Time Travel.

the thing about gfriend is they are so unique. they have their own storyline just like bts and txt. they don't follow the trend that most girlgroups use nowadays. that is what makes them different. i am not really a fan. but in my own opinion, i think gfriend and their fans are one of the most unproblematic group and fandom ever.

I think to understand Gfriend, you have to watch all of their mv's, so you can have a better idea of what they are talking about. In my opinion I understand the lyrics and the mv because I'm a fan of them.
You should react to their other songs, they have their signature sound but this is very different from what they usually do.Also Yuju is one of the best main vocals in pop and in almost all their songs she hits a high note as well as eunha the lead vocal.
So yeah react to all their older hops, i personally recommend sunrise and time for the moon night if you like the high notes.
