Harrison County Fire Rescue Woods Fires Video 2 23 24

Harrison County Fire Rescue responded to several woods' fires Friday February 23, 2022. The fires were spread across Harrison County and caused a large number of acers to burn. At least two buildings were burned during the fires and numerous homes were endangered by the fires. Handcock County Volunteer Fire Departments, Post 58 and Fenton, assisted with mutual aid response. Harrison County Sheriff Department sent patrol units to close roads and assist with traffic control and the sheriff department helicopter came to assist with arial coverage along with Harrison County UAV pilots, doing aerial recon. No injuries were reported. the cause of the fires is under investigation.
