Its a shame bought it years ago 8950 dollars and printer died now and printer price is now 5900 and print head cost 2000 dollars tech coming here fixing all that crap another 2k total quote is 4k and they only give warranty on new print head 1 month. So brand new printer with warranty is 6k and fixing a easily broken product is 4k...what a shame Roland! If you gonna drop your prices then drop the print head cost from unreasonable 2k to 1k so fixing might be worth it...

a bit of a PSA.. i'm finding a lot of hobbyists are buying the BN20 and they run into the issue where they aren't really printing every single day. the nozzles begin to clog and you have people scrambling to fix it, only to find that they waited too long and the heads are caked with old ink. obviously these printers are for small-time production or business and require use every single day. hobbyists tend to let it sit and only print when they are feeling creative. this is very bad practice.. but i suppose even the hobbyists deserves access to solvent printing for stickers because inkjets suck for this type of printing... in such a case, there is a solution. modify your printer to accept chipless carts. you will need two sets of carts, one for your ink and another for head cleaning solutions. when you are not printing, simply remove all ink carts and pop in the head cleaning carts, do ONE head cleaning, and then leave these head cleaning carts in the printer when you are not printing or are gone long term (idling). when it's time to print, pop the normal ink back in (make sure the outtake is clean and not caked with dry particles because they can make their way into the heads..) give'em a slight shake before putting them back in the printer. your print head will last a LOTTTT LONGER

I saw your comment on another platform but have yet to say where to get chipless carts

Do not dip the cleaning stick into the cleaning solution. You could contaminate the solution. Get a small flip top dispenser bottle and transfer the fluid to that bottle.

Nah it's just alcohol and cleaning sticks are sponge material. Just soak the sponge in the bottle. New cleaning sticks shall ALWAYS be in a dustfree zip-lock bag. Last, do NOT double-dip cleaning stick!
