    I love mine too. We think it's super easy to use. I bought an extra pitcher. One pitcher has remineralizer insert and the other does not.... Makes no difference to our household. We won't buy a new remineralizer because we get minerals from food. We also use great sea salts so we have plenty of minerals. Love that there is a constant display showing your water input quality and output quality (just a number). Great review here! I agree!

    This is a great review. Good lighting, camera angles, and thorough, clear, concise explanations. I very much appreciate knowing the life spans of each type of filter and how to insert and remove them. Thanks so much for pointing out that "hidden" switch by Filter #4. Who knew? Also, the tests were very impressive--especially the colored water test! This filter is better than I thought it was. I feel totally safe with drinking the water. You left no stone unturned. Kudos.
    Question: About how much do new filters cost?

    • @HaiTech
      @HaiTech  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      $149.96 on amazon for all 4 filters (PP, CTO, RO, PCF). $19.90 for remineral filter.

      yes, it's an RO filter and it removes fluoride. i can smell it in my tap water, but after it goes through the filter i don't smell or taste it at all.

    Is there a way to toggle on/off switch the UV light?

    • @HaiTech
      @HaiTech  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

    • @jenueheightz6851
      @jenueheightz6851 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @HaiTech some studies have raised concerns about the potential formation of harmful by-products when UV light interacts with certain chemicals in water or food. These by-products are known as disinfection by-products (DBPs) and can include compounds such as trihalomethanes (THMs) and haloacetic acids (HAAs).
      DBPs have been classified as possible or probable human carcinogens by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), and some studies have linked long-term exposure to DBPs in drinking water with an increased risk of bladder cancer. It would be nice to have a way to turn off/on on this device just to have controll on how less exposure to UV light

    Why is it considered "waste" water? Can you not just let it sit until next time (assuming later in the day)?

    • @HaiTech
      @HaiTech  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the water that it uses to produce clean filtered water goes back into the tap water tank. you want to dump it and refill it the rear water tank each time you fill the glass pitcher. i guess you could let it sit there until next time. when next time comes, you just have to remember to dump the rear water tank and refill it with tap water.

      @@HaiTech I read the reviews on amazon... some feel they are being smart by not filling the reservoir all the way, thinking they are saving water... but I am assuming there is a reason for the extra water and that it might not be as effective without the water being filled to the max line ... can you please explain why it is designed this way? My guess is the excess water is where all the "waste" goes... so if we use it for our next batch... the unit has 2x's as much contaminants to filter? I wonder how it would effect the results of the water testing hmm

    • @HaiTech
      @HaiTech  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@juliaelise24 all RO filters have a clean water to waste water ratio. this filter is 2:1 Pure to Drain ratio. which means it makes 2 cups of clean water for every 1 cup of waste water. yes, filling the tap water tank up to the max line would probably be best for efficiency. if you don't fill it to the max line you won't get the desired quantity of filtered water.

    • @lalulu14
      @lalulu14 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HaiTech you mean waste water goes back into the large plastic fill pitcher in the back. the FILL pitcher is the same as the WASTE water pitcher. I think people do not understand this. The FILL water goes INTO the filter system and fills the filter canisters... when filtered, the GOOD water goes into the front glass pitcher, and the waste water goes back into the "fill" pitcher to be disposed of and then you rinse the fill pitcher.

    With the re-mineralization attachment, does it make the water alkaline?

      i don't think it balances the PH level just adds minerals to the water.
