Even if I dont use it, it's a nice glitch to see.
The best I can recall, we havent seen a skill point glitch since the original Borderlands. Always fun to mess around with.
Both bl2 and preseq had skill glitches...
Another way to generate tons of lag is to find a friend that has an item that generates tons of lag. like modded grenades and weapons
Yeah the ghost call I got really slows the game down lol.
I believe the lag DPJ is talking about is the drop in framerate kind of lag. Easiest way to do this is dropping as many items as possible, setting the gameplay to graphics instead of performance (on Xbox One X you can do this), and having a bunch of hex grenades being thrown or some other extremely graphical explosion that lasts for a while.

Almost certainly not. The important part is latency from you to the host. Even if you get laggy when you’re host, it’ll still load each input as it applies it, if that makes sense. That’s why there were so many glitches like this in bl2

When I play online, all I see is different modded gear and weapons 😂 it’s quite common now

It doesn't work for me. The game laggs like crazy but when I try to spend my skill points it doesn't do anything and in the next second the game realizes that I presed x to spend some points but instantly decreases my skill points to. What do I do wrong

I'm pretty sure this does work. I did a takedown mission with my almost maxed Moze with lots of drops on the ground and several enemies dying. My character was quickly maxed and I left, but when I was in sanctuary I had 81 skill points to spend. Not sure how to replicate this but I thought it was so cool
If you wanna do this, make sure you have enough points spare for the new 4th skill tree coming up soon

It's not the first time that a Borderlands game has had this type of glitch, BL2 had one and I think BL:TPS also had one.
Tps and bl2 still has the badass token glitch which is a more game breaking glitch. That glitch never get fixed in those games. At least one glitch will be left on this game, this one no of course but maybe another that breaks the game. Maybe guardian token glitch well until updates/dlcs ends we will see what glitch will stay permanently
Oh yeah, I remember having Gaige's skill trees maxed and having an absolute monster Deathtrap
also it was quite easy to manipulate save files to give you those skill points and even those keys that you use to open that loot box in sanctuary

Gearbox realized a long time ago that the long money is in the modded community. This is why they work so close with them after Borderlands 2's success.
People really enjoy the strategy of a game, even if that strategy is circumventing the rules of said game.
Bethesda realized this too, which why they’re very liked by their fanbase for embracing the modding community in FO4 and Skyrim.
If you want to do this without the hassle, just mod your save to have more skillpoints. I mean if you use those glitches, you could also mod, there is technically no difference in a game without a pvp ladder tbh :D

I just love glitches exploits and hacks, for single player experiences its all totally great to experiment with the code and how things are done to manipulate and break what you are playing. Like quicksave clipping in bethesda games or fall cam unloading in the Dark souls series

I also notice a bug with one of amara skill her cooldown skill in the blue tree if you max it out to 5 and respace the cooldown% will not respace unless you quit out the game so you can have 1 sec cooldown making tides that bind amara even more ez mode or her other skill worth using

You can create lag by using mobile hotspot on your phone. Sit on the phone before you spam the bumpers. Sitting on the phone will somewhat weaken your 4g reception, therefore generating lag. 🤷♀️😂

I do this for weapon duping. Gotta be careful though. Generate lag for too long and you'll drop offline.

Tbh I'm not gone do that, as much as I would like to but that's what killed the fun I was having with borderlands 1 but I think if this glitch was not around lagging your game out then I would on a extra character an not my mines at all

@@jukupatka The clone scales to MH 10, just like fl4ks pets. The fire spiderant does around 12mil with its fire puddle.

To create extra lag cap the bandwidth for your pc/console ip in the router, increase ingame resolution till you get stutters.

The only modded weapons I like are the ones that do something cool. Like shoot skulls, rainbows, cats...ect instead of bullets, anything else just takes away from the fun a little. Unless ur just killing friends in the duel...

For anyone who is going to do this I recommend doing this glitch with a character u don't like or don't use lol cause being OP permanently can get boring really fast.

No not really if u have all the skills all it means is u don't have to respec all the time to change from build to build on the high mayhem levels it's always the anointments u get all your dps from yeah having skill points spent on certain skills can build a foundation on which anointments you would like to farm for on the weapons u want for your build in terms of how u spec your skills. On older bl games like bl2, bl1 and pre sequel it's only the type of class mod u have and then how u spec your skills because the still trees a powerful enough with normally game changing capstones and have great build potential to coincide to what class mod u want run

that may be true for most games, but in BL even with every skill bought, you can still get overwhelmed in high levels, the thing about borderlands is that there is synergy between gun play and action skills, specially in high level content and mayhem levels, so as someone else stated, in BL it just helps changing builds without having to spend on respec, also if its a legit game exploit then i see nothing wrong with it. in bl i never felt op with my action skills with ANY character in ANY game, i always saw the combo of the two as ultimate peak for all
might do this with enough points to hopefully max the 4th tree if it uses the same skillpoints. but gonna do this on my mule alt just so i can lvl toons faster. so need a insta cap method as so boring lvling 3 of each toon.

if you have a VPN, connect to somewhere like Australia for extra lag, if both people are connected to servers across the world even better

Yes but you can't be the host to do it

The issue is that your local it's the same account
You need to be online with someone who lowers your internet speed
(Use the fps tool to know when you are low enough)

Worked for us on Xbox. But you need MASSIVE lag. We did it with 3 players, one spamming bumpers in the bank the other one shooting modded gun next to the player respecing. It's better to start putting points back as soon as the host who is in the bank starts lagging bad. And the game most likely gonna crash, but as long as it crashes after you save and quit you spoils be alright.

Has anyone succeeded? I dropped over 300 legendaries. Put it on hotspot. Spammed modded weapons with a friend. Spammed l1 n r1. Like its not working at all we generated so much lag. Has it been patched already?!

No, only works when you play with a laggy host since there is a slight latency when you spec a skill and when the host receive that information.
After you have done this on a online lobby could you go on to offline mode and utilize all of these points

ok what the hell is a bumper? i kept hearing him say hit the bumpers for making more lag... but no clue what that means
He plays on Xbox. Its the right and left bumper on the controller he is referring to. It would be the same buttons as L1 and R1 on PlayStation.
My grenade is a modded item on ps4. When I toss all 14 out as fast as I can, it lags out everyone and typically crashes everyone's game.

harry mayes I tried using my gf’s phone hotspot and it barely worked, maybe it works different on different phones but I wouldn’t advise with iPhone.
my wifi hotspots is 300/300 Mbps, at 20ms ping.... doesnt help much. Barely a bit more latency than my regular broadband.
Video was done in a lobby with hardwired 400 mbps connection.

The host can connect the ps4 internet to his/her phone and half way turn it off to create enough lag.
It’s super easy to do if you have a modded webslinger because it creates a bunch on lag
