@@alteredego827 I was one of the last ppl to see him in public and he leant against a barrel and said ''I'm not feeling very well'' that was a few days before he died.
I connect with Laura about feeling like men aren't interested, and the social awkwardness they both share, just haven't found a Mike to be awkward together with.
I can't get over how old fashioned and boring Laura's clothes are. All of them are awful. This was the 80s for goodness sake. My mother would have been a similar age in those years (1981 to 1984) and I honestly never saw her or anyone under 70 dressed remotely like that.
In 1981 was only 3 years old when this came out
Gentle and sweet.. Love it.
Thanks. I like this show.
Loved this show.
Strange to think that this series was filmed almost 40 years ago.
Michael and Judi were married in real live,he was romantic and bought her a rose EVERY week until he died.
She continues to get a rose every week and will for the rest of her life. He set it up and paid for it before he died. That's love.

This series is about two lonely people who can’t express their feelings. They want to love, but can’t commit.

Clearly, looking at Laura's potential landlord, Rigsby does indeed have a brother.
8:53 Very true!
They were really married at the time.
Laura would look so much younger with long hair and different clothes.
Trying to seduce someone with egg and chips - how very British.
I know st not real but he got that telephone fixed very quickly. No way in hell with British Telecom.
Any 'real' man has a box of tools, spare parts and extra phone cords stashed away. Let's face it, that's the main reason women want a man around :-)

Mike's hair is awful too, trying to wear it 60s style still to look younger maybe, as if he's in the pop band The Monkees.
Not a bad thing, but some women in the UK still dress that way-especially in smaller towns.
They’re intentionally dress that way since the premise of the show is to make the middle-aged characters dull and hopeless
