Dude same, i look at a drawing i can't clearly draw without using a reference and go ''Man, i wanna get there'' so i start scribbling until i make it work
and that the best way to use AI tools: for a quick throw away ref or just to let tehm run on a random thougt and then competed against the results or something. not to make the whole pic.

It seems laughable to think that it's the same thing when it couldn't be further from the actual process of making art; a computer compiling all images that it has in a database and cobbling together a frankenstein image using those pieces of reference. That's not making art, that's a tool making at best what should be seen as a poor imitation of art - and for the exact reason that there is the wrong number of stars and dragonballs and suns in that image. A person needs to be thinking about the reason that image is being made and make active choices, connect dots, have reasons for things, not let a computer make the choices for them based on the choices made by others from the past.

Don’t fall for this trap and try to help others avoid it as well.
@@nintai6656 aahh this is a pretty good point! Why use a reference of something that is an imitation of the thing you’re trying to reference?? I can see where someone would want to generate something that doesn’t exist and use that as refernce or inspiration for their own work, but even that gets a little tricky. At the end of the day, I wouldn’t want it to be used at all but if it issss, reference is where I draw the line too. I do see your point though. 100%
The main issue is that inspiration is the start of the thinking process whereas a reference is scientific in origin. Artists merely adapted this process of definitive proof of accuracy to suit their needs. For inspiration, sure ai can be used even if it is a short term solution with long term consequences. In this regard it is a personal choice and I don’t really care. As for references, verifiable accuracy is MANDATORY. The main problem is the modern educational system fails to properly explain what a reference is. Even another artist’s work is not a reference outside of fan art specifically and even then you need to be excessively critical of its authenticity. Just look up (dark magician girl fan art) and tell me what color her eyes are. It’s basically 50/50 if any random image is right or not. Maybe not a “big deal” to creeps and weirdos but normal people should care about these kinds of details. How many people would be off put by fan art of normal form goku in a pink gi depicted as though it was correct? As an artistic choice? Cool. As a mistake? Total fail. How many stars does a dragon ball have? Ai just ruined your work. References and inspiration are entirely separate and while I would rather people use mental expansion techniques for inspiration than brain rot technology, it’s none of my business how people treat their brains. Ai has potential for exclusivity inspiration. References of something that doesn’t exist is a concept I simply don’t understand but I think that would be more of “how do I want this to look” than “how is this supposed to look” meaning inspiration not reference.

I don't like to talk to people when I'm drawing, but that last guy definitely has a good reason. Quite impressive, despite the disability fate has thrown at him.
The reason art is so valuable is because it can’t just be manufactured. There is no creativity without limitations. That was paraphrased from someone but idk who.
It’s nice to see stuff like this. I try a lot to get into art, and seeing results of AI makes me more self conscious about how I do. Seeing it be done in a matter of seconds really wipes away all the joy I had trying to make something fun. I love my art no matter what now.
AI art wouldn't exist without human artists. The only true art I see in AI "art" are the hours-years of effort put in by the engineers who designed the programs.
As an Artist myself the idea or endorsement or something even the images themselves of “ai art” always puts me on the verge of vomiting, my very existence is vehemently against it. “I Strongly Feel THIS Is An Insult To Life Itself” -Hayao Miyazaki
Ai has its advantages, for example Ivan look at ai Pokémon (not using the best ai in this case on purpose) and I cat try making something out of these random shapes…. I just though it was a cool use of the ai
I do like AI art as a tool. but when its not used as a tool, but rather just a cheap shortcut, that's what I have a problem with. And also you know web crawlers taking artists work without permission to train the models, even though it would be nearly impossible to get AI art to look nearly as good as it does without that. Not to say it even looks *that* great as is. Of course, as they say the technology is as bad as its ever going to be. The main issue is just that a robot cant replace what a human can do. It can make some good stock photos, but when it comes to nitty gritty details, well literally, an image has more information than a text prompt. There is no way around it, some information will have to be filled in, by the robot, I.E. averages. Generic values. Nothing new can come from AI art, as obvious as that part was, but also anything that isnt new is still smoothed over in some way. Which is why I would encourage anyone who's ever generated AI and seriously wants to use it for anything even slightly substantial, take that AI art, mark it up, what you like, what you dont like, then give that to a commissioner and get a comission.
had a chat recently with someone on a discord server from a webcomic portal and that guy had a good statement: actuall art has intent. AI art lacks this intent. also in my opinion: the bots are great tools to just fool around with but not to create an entire result. maybe have them run on a random thougt to generated a basic ref or compete with the output but nothing more. edit: im aware that pretty much all of the problems with the bots comes from how they are marketed, used and fed. if you use the bot with a model that you made using your own data then its pretty much your art. in other cases no. also im aware that most of the self proclaimed AI ''artist'' are realy just lazy and want the results faster.
I finally got some of my work in to a Gallery I don’t know I just feel like I wanna quit I could never get better the conventional way I tried very hard in my own way I don’t know I want to die I feel less and less joy in drawing mostly because I have chosen a very detailed art style The style I draw naturally I think it’s very myopic to see AI art as not art is just a agreement anything could be art isn’t that the whole point of Duchamps and Warhol I have great joy in editing AI art recently i’m very excited for Sora and animating my own art that I’ve drawn essentially making a bunch of new versions of it that I can control roughly with prompts. and I would like to add The suffering and job loss is the fault of capitalism not the technology itself. I would love to have friends I’m so lonely lol this has nothing to do with anything I just wanted to say that
You editing it, and using it to elevate your own art is what I think it should be used for! My personal problem is when it’s an outright replacement , or not used to help or enhance the work of humans. Like if you were just make a prompt, get a result, and call it yours/art. Idk how difficult your journey has been so I can’t speak to that. I just believe everyone is capable of creating art themselves. It may not always look as amazing as it does in your head right away, but you can do it. If you enjoy using ai to make art. Then you should! I just don’t AI to ever replace the artists that create my favourite things. And I see a lot of companies making moves to do exactly that. But , no Ai isn’t outright evil. It’s been used long before this video.
@@rauwro I don’t think anyone has to manually draw that’s my point it’s just expression not everything has to be intentional Even though I don’t do I think AI artist can be artists there’s so many interesting things you can prompting possibilities even if the artist is completely out of the loop of making creative decisions and lets language model pick the prompts I still think that person should be called an artist isn’t having the will to create enough? A tribute of someone it doesn’t have to be manually created I think the AI image you focused on what’s the almost perfectly serviceable obviously The details were lacking I would definitely delete the samurai in the back The composition was good and what if it did it created perfectly on The first generation but I think AI art is going to get much better and controllable no one has to learn how to draw. I can talk endlessly about this maybe I shouldn’t reply sorry if this wasn’t proper Internet etiquette. I should make better arguments but I think you could get the gist of it. I love to see your art btw
@@Iknowwereyousleep289 I agree that art does need to be intentional you can just make something for the sake of making something. That is enough. I guess I just disagree that promoting an ai to create something , that is taking information from already existing creations , to create that something is an original creation. I think a tribute is far more meaningful when it comes from your own intentions and ideas. To me, ai art is like if you commissioned an artist to make you something, and when you got the commission, you changed a few things and said “I made this” . I see it as you telling something to make something for you. Without compensating any of the artists responsible for the ai’s end result. My art is on my instagram @rauwroart ! I’m not that great at all. I’d love to see your stuff too, man. It’s ok if we disagree on it :)
@@rauwro @julianthejustice ig none of my recent stuff is on there lol looks like shit can’t really update it because my sister is running the channel because I tend to delete social media on a whim
Wow those sure were gentle and unassertive words. Me personally I hate AI art cause whenever I see it I get a fuckin fight or flight reaction. Seriously I don't know if anyone else gets this but there's something about it that's physically repulsive. I feel like a dog recognising the monster in a shit horror film.
Don’t call it ai art, it isn’t art, it’s images formed by feed ding a computer other images. No passion, no reason, no statements and no human intervention.
AI art has a time and place and that's only to make funny bullshit like CCTV footage of wizards raiding an arby's or pornography using AI art to honor someone's legacy, especially an artist, is disingenuous. pretty sure you just bit the hook on that one, because anyone doing that was clearly just trying to farm engagement.
AI is the best technology that's ever existed and it's going to be a thousand times better than your "favorite artist" you've mentioned on your dumb video, so here's my advice for you. Get over it! You may think AI is trash but it's got it's got it's quirks, also long Live Akira Toriyama you may be gone but your spirit lives on.
The prompt comes from you so not really. And dont put art up on a pedestal either. Because art can be anything no matter how low or high effort. or how good or disgusting it is. Its still art.
as someone that is actively trying to learn let me tell you, I feel so tired of watching the false aspects of making art from everyone including you. i don't feel "inspired" watching people that got a better upbringing than mine. I couldn't peek up a pencil my entire childhood and now i discover everyone has started at 10 or in their teens. why does everyone including me years ago just want to talk about the "good art" as if it is only the reason to prove a point against AI? If your point is to just show how human artists have value why can't you just show someone that is still learning and isn't at a professional level? I expect corporations to not give a shit about artists but even the people consuming it are nothing better, people are just treated differently based on how well they do their craft and nothing else... exactly how a prompt gets rewritten because "who would want a distorted hand?"
i’m sorry about you’re upbringing. how do you know these artists didn’t have it hard too? Even if they didn’t that doesn’t make their art more valuable or less valuable. i don’t know anything about them personally. I just like pretty picture. I hear you though on the point of highlighting artists just starting out , that’s a really great idea. ultimately though, I just wanted to share my faves who i believe put in the work to get this far. I believe any one can be good at art if that’s their goal
Using ai to “pay tribute” to toriyama is something only a total scumbag fake fan would do. He literally worked himself to death to make others happy. At least try to be worth the effort. Stick figures would be more respectful.
Rest in Peace Akira❤

It’s nice to see stuff like this. I try a lot to get into art, and seeing results of AI makes me more self conscious about how I do. Seeing it be done in a matter of seconds really wipes away all the joy I had trying to make something fun. I love my art no matter what now.
love your voice. 🙃
Lolll thankss
We never clap to Ai. We only clap to real human skill
AI art wouldn't exist without human artists. The only true art I see in AI "art" are the hours-years of effort put in by the engineers who designed the programs.
TRD (total robot death)
I'm rock.
As an Artist myself the idea or endorsement or something even the images themselves of “ai art” always puts me on the verge of vomiting, my very existence is vehemently against it.

Is that koikatsu in the thumbnail
0:31 the symbol on goku really looks like the Chinese character for weak
really? Somehow it gets worse 😭
Grab a pencil you IA Brothers
I know it'll never catch on but I call AI "art" AIGI (Artificial Intelligence Generated Images) kinda like CGI
using ai art to commemorate his passing is just pathetic.
pick up the pen, and draw the tribute, show respect.
Ai has its advantages, for example Ivan look at ai Pokémon (not using the best ai in this case on purpose) and I cat try making something out of these random shapes…. I just though it was a cool use of the ai
these fake fans too man ppl just want attention
YES YES YES YES YES YES
promotion comment
just give ai a couple of years and not even real footage would be believable
Deep voice
had a chat recently with someone on a discord server from a webcomic portal and that guy had a good statement: actuall art has intent.

Such "an irritatingly catchy song"
What anime was that, that you used as b-roll at the end?
Animation Runner Kuromi
you forgot about me, lollolololol
Where can I peep your art ?👀 lol
I finally got some of my work in to a Gallery I don’t know I just feel like I wanna quit I could never get better the conventional way I tried very hard in my own way I don’t know I want to die I feel less and less joy in drawing mostly because I have chosen a very detailed art style The style I draw naturally
I think it’s very myopic to see AI art as not art is just a agreement anything could be art isn’t that the whole point of Duchamps and Warhol I have great joy in editing AI art recently i’m very excited for Sora and animating my own art that I’ve drawn essentially making a bunch of new versions of it that I can control roughly with prompts. and I would like to add The suffering and job loss is the fault of capitalism not the technology itself.
@@rauwro I don’t think anyone has to manually draw that’s my point it’s just expression not everything has to be intentional
Even though I don’t do I think AI artist can be artists there’s so many interesting things you can prompting possibilities even if the artist is completely out of the loop of making creative decisions and lets language model pick the prompts I still think that person should be called an artist isn’t having the will to create enough?
@@rauwro you’re amazing I love the The one where sticks is power
No music in the description?)
fixed it
Wow those sure were gentle and unassertive words. Me personally I hate AI art cause whenever I see it I get a fuckin fight or flight reaction. Seriously I don't know if anyone else gets this but there's something about it that's physically repulsive. I feel like a dog recognising the monster in a shit horror film.
idgaf about the war on ai or whatever who drew the hot chick in the thumbnail
Fair enough. inkuusan did. Their art is in the video too
@@rauwro you are a goat
Don’t call it ai art, it isn’t art, it’s images formed by feed ding a computer other images. No passion, no reason, no statements and no human intervention.
I hate ai art defenders so much like have u never seen wall-e!!!!
AI art has a time and place and that's only to make funny bullshit like CCTV footage of wizards raiding an arby's
or pornography
using AI art to honor someone's legacy, especially an artist, is disingenuous. pretty sure you just bit the hook on that one, because anyone doing that was clearly just trying to farm engagement.
AI is the best technology that's ever existed and it's going to be a thousand times better than your "favorite artist" you've mentioned on your dumb video, so here's my advice for you. Get over it! You may think AI is trash but it's got it's got it's quirks, also long Live Akira Toriyama you may be gone but your spirit lives on.
rage bait
Ai "art" isn't art. Becouse there isn't nothing from you in it.
Stick figures would be more respectful.
robophobe
ai is kino tho
Ai art isn’t bad at all. I hope it grows and becomes bigger than it is already
this is what I talking about.
