I love it when you talk/sharing more in your vlogs. it feels like getting to know you in person and I thank u for uploaded this despite of your hectic schedule. take care sher!
Wahh I have the same problem in HK right now. My rental contract in my current apartment is already up but I just can't find an apartment I really like. I want somewhere that I can stay for a few years instead of moving flats evert 12 or 24 months 😩 Great video though, really enjoyed it. And rental prices seem a lot better than in HK!
ohh :O have you tried 28hse instead of fb groups? honestly it’s pretty hard as well for me to find a place that i can commit to, especially for more than 2 years lol Goodluck on the flat hunting!!! And yep what’s mindblowing for me is that, the rental price in korea for a very legit apartment 😂 hk could neverrr
My notes: 1) Yeah, Seoul buildings are built practically on top of each other so its really hard to find a place that has a view and gets sunlight. 2) I never really understood the reasoning behind the "shower where you poop" bathroom layout. It is definitely common in the older buildings...maybe its a space saving measure? Just be glad you don't have squat toilets like they do in the countryside. I don't have the legs for that. lol 3) Not gonna lie, I have a soft spot for Seoul rooftop apartments but seeing all those air-conditioners all along the outside of your door makes me think it would be really noisy because of the fans running. 4) Anybody who works on commission is going to pressure a customer to make a sale but still you made the right choice by sticking to your priority list. 💪Its you that is paying to live there not them. Until next time!👋
when are yu going to uplode the room tour just cant waittttt.... and also im planning on joining SNU this year for business studies can you help with it pleaseee
hahaha my plan is to record it this month but i haven't started cleaning my room :'D but hopefully i can upload it soon!! and yeah if you have any questions you can ask me, i'll share what i know
I used to live in the town lol It seems like you're getting 오피스텔. Just be careful with the utility. 오피스텔 utility fee is usually a lot more expensive than 빌라 or 원룸 types.
yes hahaha i've always been wanting to try renting an 오피스텔 :D thanks for the note, so far it's still reasonable... maybe during winter when i turn on the heater, my 관리비 will be expensive :')
Hi, I am very late to this video hehe but I'm recently goin to korea to study too and I'm worried about getting an apartment. Can I ask you how long did you stay at the airbnb and did you already have an arc for the apartment contract? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
hello! i stayed at the airbnb for a month, and during that time i focused on finding the apartment. once i found one and realized that i couldnt immediately move in, i extended my airbnb for another month. :) you need arc to sign a contract (if it's the yearly housing contract -- not airbnb), but sometimes the realtor or landlord could wait till you get one (as they need to report to the nearest district office). hope this helps!
@@sherendev omg thank you so much replying 😭🙏 Can I ask one more thing?, So you need the arc for the yearly contract but if you need a shorter stay like 3-6 months ? In this case you don’t need the arc?
hmm i think if you sign a "normal" contract with any realtor or landlord, usually they will ask for your valid ID. some will ask for passport but i think arc is more common. it really depends on the type of house (officetel, one room or shared room) and the how chill the landlord is, lol (i got rejected once because im a foreigner). it's safest if you book a 1 month airbnb first while looking for a new place & at the same time, waiting for your arc!
righttt!! not everyone can understand why i was so happy when i signed this flat hahaha im paying half of the price for a typical HK flat, for something way more decent :''') tp ya skrg jd bokek krn bayar deposit dompet lgsg tipis huft
Hahaha the headaches of finding an apartment, I feel you! But I love your journey ❤ I do room tours and interviews with foreigners living in Korea. I’d like to do a collab with you! Please let me know if you’re interested!😊
Sorry to ask, but I am a relatively new follower, so do you speak any korean? I loooove your videos, btw. I think I watched all of them in a week hahahaaha ❤
