I agree with all the above comments (including the one about the diaper effect). And I don’t feel that anything that’s been said here could be considered ugly, but rather is valid, constructive critique. I think she’s an exquisite young dancer of great promise who mainly just needs to mature some. I saw a few bobbles that looked to be from weak ankles. Also, uncontrolled extensions that threaten to give oneself a concussion need to be reined in a bit. They give an impression more of showing off than of skill. Which leads to my last note: Cut the cheese. The excessively high extensions were part of that, but the coup de grace came near the end of Paquita where she pauses for a second in a “cutesy” pose to mug for the audience before the final steps of the variation.
She’s extraordinarily gifted, goodness knows at just 15, but it seems like someone is coaching her or pushing her to add these mannerisms that only detract from her performance. Hopefully she will move on to a better coach or just outgrow her perceived need for cheese-because she surely doesn’t need it.

Dear me, that first tutu needs some tulle layers. The bottom of the body part of her costume looks a tad too much like a diaper. Otherwise, lovely dancing.

i’ve seen her performance from the 2022 yagp finals where she performed the same variation. in my opinion she’s improved; she’s beautiful both in the 2022 finals and in this 2024 video but in the 2022 finals she definitely looked like she way trying WAY too hard (as in being overly expressive and emotive). i much prefer this 2024 version; she looks much less strained and stressed and is more humble in her movements.
i still do think she’s overdoing the expressions in this 2024 video, but with the way the emotions and movements look kinda “plastered” on her, it’s probably her because her coaches are imposing this. i don’t want to put her, the dancer, at fault for this. most of the facial expressions as well as the pauses, loose extensions, and excessive epaulemant seem to be from her coaches choosing to add it in as they don’t look natural at all on her. and i don’t think it’s her fault at all.
she’s incredibly talented and definitely works very hard and prepared for a long time for this variation (a VERY VERY long time, considering she competed this in 2022 as well). and of course there are things that can be improved. she has wobbles and her upper body is missing the fluidity the variation needs. but this is in my opinion an improvement from 2022 and i believe most of the issues apart from the wobbles and fluidity are results of her coaches’ instruction.
I’m not a fan. Her mannerisms are exaggerated and over the top! Especially in the second variation her open-mouth smile is forced and unnatural. In both variations it’s as if her coach fed her every single mannerism. Her arms are not right: there’s something a bit awkward about them. Especially her right arm. It’s pulled too straight. Her very high extensions: often she’s kicking her leg very high with no control.
She is totally gorgeous!!! Too many horrid comments!!!!! Wonderful strength and technical ability. I am not a fan of the brown colour on tutu. Should have a lovely ballet career. Congratulations 🎉!!!!
I think. She is very perfect as far as technic is concerned but almost too perfect and not enough grace and personality. Not a criticism just
