Maya Schonbrunn became a SOLOIST TODAY at the RSB 🎉🥳 ❤ Madde Woo is also at the Royal Swedish ballet (not Swedish national ballet) that’s the company in Gothenburg ;) That clip is from their big rehearsal room. Yes I danced there a loooong time ago.
The “I’d rather be doing pirouettes” is so much funnier when you know that Tessa is know for not being a turner (Note:her turns are fine, I’ve seen her do four clean on point but everyone at that school is insane)
She danced Sugarplum Fairy for the Royal Ballet (I think it was?) a couple of years ago and I have the footage of it, I've watched it over and over, she's my favourite Sugarplum EVER 😌
“Why are there so many of you in the same place” This speaks volumes to the quality of the trainers - yes the basic talent has to be there, but it takes the right coaching to bring it out and develop it. I could watch Melanie for hours 🥰
I remember reading that Maya didn’t start ballet until she was 13. She had been dancing since she was little, but still. The fact that she didn’t start ballet until she was 13 and got so good so quickly…
Maria looks so happy to dance she doesn't look upset or tired or anything she seems so joyful and so excited to be able to do this incredible style of dance
@@ivyarianrhodyes. Those legs are so pretty, not in a creepy way lol. I always find myself sounding like a pervert with a foot fetish when speaking about ballet lol. But seriously Tessa is amazing, it sucks that she seems stuck on her pirouettes, though whenever she pushes through, she can do quite good, she just needs more hyping and higher self esteem
As someone completely outside of ballet, I love those videos where you explain what you find beautiful and why things are so impressive. I've learned a lot on your channel and I love learning more.
My mother, father and I ended up in Russia as one of the stops of a cruise we were doing. My mother I both wanted to see a ballet my father very reluctantly came with us. We saw Swan Lake. After the performance my father could not stop talking about how amazing it had been. The power of dance.
Back in the late 1950s, my mother, who loved ballet, managed to persuade my stepfather, an amateur track and field athlete, to go with her to see the Bolshoi on their first visit to San Francisco. I think he was talking about Nikolai Fadeyechev when he said “That guy broke the records for broad jump and high jump simultaneously!“ He was so impressed that when my mother decided to take adult beginning ballet classes at the SFB school, he even took classes with her for a while! (But actually, I think he mainly did it to try to make his calves bigger, as he was also a bodybuilder.)
Congratulations Josephine🥰 wish you health and wellbeing throughout the pregnancy! Thanks for all your fun and lovely videos! One of the higlights of the week!🙏🩰❣️
Congratulations on your baby!!!! 🥰 And I love that you said we could guess but not spoil it in the comments, I always hate it when I accidentally see a spoiler 😂😂
Totally keep up w these videos! I know literally NOTHING about ballet, but I'm obsessed w watching EvaNysPhotography after it randomly showed up on my feed. As did you and I am OBSESSED! The dancers you showed in this video are often the ones she highlights in hers as well. Getting to watch such talented ppl on more channels is great. Not only for us viewers, but for the exposure you're generating by picturing them on your channel. Had I not randomly come across both of you guy's channels I'd never have thought about it. I believe that you'll b helping bring a whole new and quite sizeable audience of ballet enthusiasts and giving ppl the opportunity to become fans not only of the art, but of the individual dancers themselves. I commend you for that. And so, w that entire book basically said was, yeah, I dig the videos, you should keep doing them, lol!
Same for me! Eva’s videos randomly started showing up on my feed as well and I have been obsessed with her work and all other ballet videos ever since. I think I am living vicariously through these dancers, as I would never have had the physical ability to do what they do. I admire their ability, talent, and artistry so much! And Eva’s ability to capture all the behind the scenes hard work that goes into it is truly impressive!
I am 100% on team extension with you. I could watch videos like this all day. Not that you have time, but if you put on a 10h video of just beautiful dancers and Josephine reacting to it, I would watch. I love the tiktok series, but I'd love this as a new form of content.
Here for guessing!!!! By the amount of pink decor; mainly flowers and I think the tea cup, also subtitles during the are you ready bit, I’m going with girl. Could be red herrings or me over thinking but what ever!
Congratulations!! 🎉 I love watching your reactions. I’ve never been involved in ballet, but you have taught me so much! Thank you! I would love to see you work with the Quiner sisters.
Oh, I'm so happy for Maya. she and Melanie are two of my favorites. Please do more of these. The only word for the dancers in this video is EXQUISITE!!!
Yes, please do more of these ballet videos! I love watching them. I am not built like a ballerina but many, many years ago I took several ballet classes. I have SO much appreciation for what they do and how they make it look easy. It's not!
This was one of my favourite reaction clips. I could watch talented dancers all day, and to see you get as excited as I do is refreshing. It makes this old retired dancer feel less of a loser watching up and coming dancers all the time.
Team extensions! I really love to watch Maya; so sweet and strong. Khoreva makes me stare at her. 😲 Marianela Nunez I have never seen before; love her expressiveness. More videos like this, please! So many congratulations on your little one! ❤
Not ballet but she was a ballet student "stolen" to be a RG: Yulia Barsoukova ball Atlanta (type this and you' ll find a bunch of videos from this routine of 1996). Spoiler: Swan Lake music. Warning: Watch until the *VERY* end 😉. Another crazy ballet-esque extensions in RG: Elena Sudakova, Olga Gontar, Tamara Yerofeeva, Katsiaryna Halkina/Yekaterina Galkina. Non ballet-esque but unhuman leg-instep extensions: Olga Kapranova, Aleksandra Soldatova, Lala Kramarenko. Enjoy! 🖤

May Nagahisa caught my eye when she first performed the Blue Bird in Sleeping Beauty!! Holy, holy, MOLEY!!! Every little nuance was precise yet subtle. Perfection in everything! Extension, feet, turn out, soft hands, supple back, beautiful face... The list is endless!! I love all your picks, May, Maria Khoreva, Nunez. Such talent and hard work!!

11:14 yes, I agree so much! This is one thing I really commend my teacher on because she taught my all-girls class a traditionally male jump, and told us that it was stupid that only men did it and women could do it too. That really inspired me, we need more teachers like her!
I was lucky enough to have met Marianela Núñez at the stage door with my daughter a few years ago and she was just as incredible offstage as she was onstage
But the girl who said she'd rather do pirouettes (Tessa Rivadulla, CRAZY extensions) thinks she's bad at them, so I guess it would take something BAD for her to say that. But in fact, she's awesome! And CONGRATULATIONS!

Melanie has done 20 pirouette revolutions. It was a $1000 dollar offer by the photographer. And she did it!
I love watching her! And the rest of the students featured on the photographer TH-cam shorts
Eva Nys is the dance photographer!
I like watching Eva learn ballet from the girls that she films. Her facial expressions are quite fun to watch.
I like the dancers support despite the mixed result. Eva was allowed to join their nutcracker as a mouse!
