I’m looking to switch over to tankers & ride my days out with a hood company. Im only 1 year of experience trucking as of now & companies require minimum 18 months. Most 2 years experience. So I have to wait it out a bit longer.
Hopefully a company out there gives you a shot. I’ve been driving trucks for 2 years, recently just got accepted to a local milk hauler who was looking for someone that has 2-3 years of experience. I took my chances and applied, the owner said he’d be happy to have his company show me the “tanker ropes”. Good luck with your search! & never be scared to put yourself out there 💪🏽
Yes sir, trucking has changed tremendously. I started in early 2000’s and it was totally different. No elds, only paper logs, no damn gps you had to write down the directions turn for turn 😂😭and use the map to find the closest interstates when we got lost. I miss those days
Hey i work for that company lol. I run 900 miles a day, 4000-5000 miles per week. Ag exempt is where the money is. You are wore the F out at the end of the week though
102,000lbs roughly some states can be more like 107k this is entire truck and trailer. I’m a location supervisor/driver for Dairy Farmers of America. Just make sure you have your overload permits lol
They have 3 divisions... Midwest Dairy Transport Thats Milk... Midwest Direct Transport Thats freight... Absolute Transport That one I am not sure if I can say because of confidentiality agreements....
I have hauled produce loads that are more tippy than tanker... The front to rear surge is something to get used to... Mainly stopping is a little different, but you will get used to it...
The money depends on who you are working for and what runs they have you on..... I made excellent money... I have a video called Milk Money that shows my checks.... 2k to 3k in 5 to 8 days out...
@@mikesan420 I was making $2,600 gross in 6 to 7 days on the road. But I was on a dedicated drop and hook run... I believe that the regular runs pay around $2,000 in 6 days... You gotta work for it though.. I was doing around 4,700 miles in 6 to 7 days... Agriculture Exempt..
@@truckertrashdustin thank you for the reply Sir. I’m a retiree and would like to work only part time. My goal would be to bring in a net income of about $1500. In your opinion, how many hours of work would this require after all expenses are thrown into the equation? Is that feasible? I will own my own brand new truck outright
do they not pay o.t.with your company? the company im going to work for doesnt because it agricultural. I dont know if they arent allowed to or they claim it to avoid paying it. thats for hourly but ill be doing otr like i posted earlier.
its admirable that you take pride in how your truck looks. im training with a milk hauler so ill be doing otr with them soon.
Thanks...And good luck on your new job.
I’m a owner operator can you find out if I can lease on to that company
I start my Training today with a local milk hauler...home every night and paid by the hour...
@ChrisJones-qw7bn
Nice...milk is solid stable work
You gotta love that traffic in atlanta , I use to go into publix six days a week . I worked with south east milk stay safe out there .
Great trucking video. You are the real fucking deal. Keep ‘er rolling.
Thanks....
Trucking is good money but I got sick with ptsd and cant drive more than 100 miles. I am starting a Mexican restaurant and will see how it goes
I understand that...
Good luck on your new adventure...
Make sure you guys have truck parking
Thank you for taking the time to make this video

I do 5 to 600 miles per day max it's just not worth it to throw your life down the drain on the road.
10000% unless you have no life, then the road is all you have
Once you get used to the surge back and forth you won’t even notice it

Work at milk plant batavia,ny. Receiver night shift average 2 millions pounds a day. Weekend 3 millions. Average trucks hauls 70000 lbs just milk.
Hell yeah HP Hood!
70000 lbs just milk would for sure put u over the 80000 max. I’m assuming it’s different for tankers is what you’re saying?

My name is AL
God I remember my first week pulling a tanker. Stay far far away from everyone. I don't care how good u get.
Yep...
My first week I was driving like a geezer...
Then it was hammer down after that..lol
Cool video man
Thanks for watching and subscribing...
I ve done 2300 miles non stop and no sleep
From Louisville KY to Kent WA
You're lucky to be alive.😊
Interesting, what is the name of the company and what are the requirements to start working?
Midwest Dairy out of Coopersville Michigan...
Not sure what they have going on now, haven't worked there in a while...
Good company though....
Do they have automatic transmission? Do you have to manually unload tanker with hoses? And do you have to climb up on top of tanker to open/close lid?
They didn't have automatics when I was there...
They might now..
It's not manual load and you don't have to climb up top..
I'm taking my take endorsement test tomorrow. Subbed
Good Luck...
Are there owner operator Milk Tanker jobs that you know of?
Not that I know of...
That truck is Ag exempt lol
hows detention
Not sure...
I haven't worked there in a while...
@@truckertrashdustin where'd you switch to?
Do you know what mdt stands for

Absolute Transport

I am going to be a smart ass. We milk haulers call them Morons Driving Trucks
Can you use your own truck? I’m thinking about buying a 120” sleeper to live in while doing this type of work
Not sure about that...
You would have to ask them...
MDT Coopersville Michigan...
Dude there’s a big fucking plant in coopersville
Going from flatbed to good grade tanker. What’s it like driving in the mountains? Do you have to go super slow around curves?
I have hauled produce loads that are more tippy than tanker...
The front to rear surge is something to get used to...
Mainly stopping is a little different, but you will get used to it...
Does MDT have manual transmissions?
They have manual and auto...
All manual in the milk division..
Milko in Asheville?
I’m a o/o how can I get in to hauling milk I have tankers no trailer
Not sure if they hire owner operators..
But I will find out..
Is the money good?
The money depends on who you are working for and what runs they have you on.....
I made excellent money...
I have a video called Milk Money that shows my checks....
2k to 3k in 5 to 8 days out...

I get payed by the mile, so I am not sure about overtime.
I know the local milk haulers around here get a flat day rate of $290 per day.
❤
I've done 1625 in 1 day, I know all about the exemptions. Make it nice to be able to run
Wtf 😳
@@Carta87Blanca you never had to run 1,000+ a day or more?
I believe you Sir. It’s possible. With the right kind of sleep the night before, limited traffic, and a good top speed, you can really push it.
750 miles? You must have a pee bottle lol
Nice
💯💯📣📣
The money, I was waiting to hear about the money. What about the money?
Check my reply to Freddy Freddy..🤑
Keep the video I just sub to your channel
You’re doing over 700 miles a day in a semi. I’d hate to see your log…. 😂😂😂
It was agriculture exempt...
A driver can do more miles than that legally....
750 miles on a 11hr drive day easy
and shiiiet
Why are you waisting time to polish wheels and tanks?
Just the way I roll...
Barely hear you talk because of the loud horrible music
Your right...
I had to go back and watch the video because I never noticed that...
Ungrateful
Great 👍
