    Thanks! Really nice! May be I do not like Chen Xiao Wang (despite of my respect to him). Moreover not long ago the special book - the description of Ma Hong`s practice - had appeared in Russia/ So it is so pleasantly thing to read and practice and see and practice! Great thanks!!!

    I teach Krav Maga, step in occasionally as a wrestling coach but I learned a lot about the martial arts from practicing Wu style for many years. This stuff is what I think of when I think of a martial art.

      A lot of chen style practitioners do not like this master'😚 form esp his protruding big butt.
      But I like his style. Powerful at the precise timing when needed.

    Can I SAY, WORD! I totally believe you. I got ran over just as you described and got pinned under a truck in May. Lacerated spleen, bruised lungs, it was only a Ford ranger though, lol. BAGUAZHANG is what we play here in KY.

      This is Chen Xinjia Yilu Taijiquan sometimes this is also called Chen Shi Taijiquan Gongfu Jia. You may also want to check out videos from Chen Yu who is the son of Chen Zhaokui (who is Ma Hong's teacher)

    I study both Yang Ban ho or jo how ever you spell it and the other one. The long forms of Yang tai Chi. When you learn it your supposed to practice at exelerated speeds. AS If your fighting. knowing the applications to each move helps you understand what is supposed to do but yeah. Tai Chi Chuan is extremely effective. The funny thing the guy who made Yang style actually studied in Chen and changed it around he became known as the unbeatable and went on to teach the imperial guard and military.

      @@peacebe2u480 i actually agree with you here. But at the same time these people were tested on the battlefield. They used to fight allot. So they worked out what works and what doesn't. And what interesting is if you study martial arts especially combat arts you'll see they all come to the same basic movements. Grappling, foot work, punches, kicks, and the original people really understood what they were doing and how to use what they taught. But thousands of years go by. People add things for show or take away things. And shit gets twisted. And over time it looses its effectiveness. It's like stories told over centuries. It goes from this man from a village sees a tyrant taking over the country to he trains his village to fight back. They go on to train and army and eventually they take down the tyrant. But over time the village, the army and everything else is slowly forgotten and he gets stronger and faster with every telling to where he's some diety like Hercules that takes on hole army alone and single handedly takes down the tyrant by himself.
      He'll it doesn't take that long. Look at Krav Maga for instance. In Isreal they practice and train to use it sparring and all and they're brutal with it.
      But it comes to America and all of a sudden its to dangerous to use in sparring or competition. Like what. And many people think that if someone knows Krav Maga then they're unbeatable killers who can take on hole armed groups and come out unscathed. But people who actually train and spar to use these things know better.
      And with understanding criminal psychology yeah giving people some basic fighting skills and the confidence to use them will do allot to save them against attackers who just want to take your shit and run. Cause they don't want a fight or attention drawn to them. But learning when and where to use such things is also a must. Sometimes fighting is the right answer and sometimes it's not and will get you hurt or killed and people need to learn the difference

    But tai Chi chuan was brought around in a time when there were no rules kill or be killed. The better lived. So if you know how too use it it's effectiveness in a street fight is immeasurable. Obviously since it's been atone for thousand of years. It's not ment for rules. It's ment to be quick and destroy your opponent. I don't know it just makes me mad to say that it's not effective. I've studied for years. It just shows how much people really don't know.

    I CANT BELIEVE I STUDIED THIS STYLE FOR 2.5 YEARS IN SHIJIAZHUANG WITH MAHONG AND HIS STUDENTS.WHEN ICAME TO BEIJING THEN I BEGAN TO STUDY WITH XUSHIXI AND MASTER WANGQINGYUN.THEN I REALIZED I HAD WASTED 2.5 YEARS WITH MAHONG.

      why do you say you wasted that time with Ma Hong? can you explain please?

    • @yogasamrat
      @yogasamrat 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jonmanilenio Well from the stand point of prompting me to move on to better quality chen taiji and standards of practice... then it wasn't a waste of time but the years spent on Mahong interpretation of Xinjia Chen style taiji was completely forgotten when I began to learn from the other teachers. MMahong's form lacks fluidity and roundness.He continually breaks his rhythm to offer his pseudo fajing and shaking.It is mechanical and disruptive of the smooth energy one wishes to cultivate. He certainly wasn't a benevolent teacher with a gracious disposition.

    I don't know who said tai Chi don't do anything in a real fight I've studied it for years. Thus guy must not have learned the applications and Chi Na with it the way your supposed to learn tai Chi chuan. Plus the Dia Lu and push hands, walking pushands and free style pushhands cause I've been in allot of fights with multiple people and walked away I got hurt but the people who came after me weren't walking away from it for dam sure. It's very quick and effective in combat if you know how to use
