Man this video was 5 years ago. I have to say great work with the lore videos. I am new to this lore and loving it. I just picked up the new games on steam and was left with many unanswered lore queries, especially with the new battletech game. Great work glad you decided to keep up with it.
Yes, please cover Battletech more when you have the time. It's one of my favorite sci-fi series. Definitely cover the Gray Death Legion, House Steiner/Lyran Commomwealth, Clan Wolf, Wolf's Dragoons, The Great Refusal, and civil war between House Davion and House Steiner.
Grim, I subscribed to your channel about a week ago for 40k, and now you give us lore on the first ever sci-fi franchise I became addicted to as a kid decades ago without being shown it by others, i.e. Star Wars or Star Trek. Thank you for this.

I was extremely indecisive between getting into 40k or Battletech so I finally just said I was going to get into both because I'm a sucker when it comes to Lore. Just want to say thank you GDN. I bought the original Battletech box set back in the 80's and played for years at my local hobby store. It was a great time, but I cared little for the universe in general...just wanted robots to blow up! Eventually I went to other games (D&D, etc) and took no further notice for decades. I am so glad that the favourite game of my youth had gotten a second life (in my eyes, at least) and became so rich and complex. I am now deep diving into the history and just drinking it in! So thank you for making this and showing me the glory of my big stompy robots and the amazing universe they're a part of. It is indeed a rich universe, if a bit on the more realistic and austere side compared to grimdark 40k.
