    Action alleviates anxiety.
Anxiety is anticipation of future pain.
Halt when you’re hungry, angry, lonely, tired,
you’re more likely to go back to your old ways.

Chris, I've always loved your videos and truly appreciate the immense effort you put into each one. However, I've recently noticed a shift in your approach. It seems you're now more focused on showcasing your knowledge and quoting others, rather than engaging with genuine curiosity in your conversations with guests.
I'm a big fan of Bedros and was eagerly anticipating this episode, but it felt like there was a missed opportunity for deeper exploration. It appeared that you dominated the conversation more than he did. While it's your podcast and you have every right to steer it as you wish, as a supportive fan, I must admit I find this change somewhat disappointing.
I hope you take this feedback in the spirit it's intended. I'm always rooting for you, brother, and look forward to more great content. Keep pushing the boundaries!!

Definitely agree. I love the channel and think Chris is extremely intelligent and great at interviewing, but I really do get a sense that a portion of his goal is to regurgitate things that previous guests have said. I don't think its intentional but its hard to not notice it if you've listened to enough episodes.

I totally agree with this. A good interviewer can ask and add to questions without indulging their own ego. I hope Chris take offense to this, and thinks about it.
I literally scrub through the parts where Chris is speaking which is a shame. That is for a different video where he solely addresses the camera giving us an insightful monologue.

1:06:07 - This part right here! This has been SO powerful for me, and I am so glad you mentioned this, I have never heard anyone else talk about this practice. I call it, Emotional Tethering, which is really focusing on how I feel in that moment and trying to stay there for as long as I can, focus so intensely to the point of goosebumps. I can then later, in moments where I need a dopamine boost, close my eyes and focus on how I felt in whatever moment, and pull those goosebumps right back, and I can't hold back a smile. It's a super power.

This is literally the best podcast I have heard all year, and I listen to several hours everyday. Many of the ideas presented here are almost word for word descriptions of things I am grappling with. Jordan Peterson helped me get myself in order (quit drinking, got in shape, etc), but now I’m working on trying to grow into being a good father and husband. Thank you both for making this podcast happen and for delivering such high value per minute. I think that’s potentially the trap of long form interviews, that many 3 hours podcasts deliver about 25 minutes of value. This podcast delivered through its entirety.

00:00 🧭 "Man up" means evolving to our highest selves, transcending base instincts to become better humans, serving humanity.
01:18 🧠 Society manipulates through emotional dependency, fueling control, and compliance.
02:51 📰 Media fosters uncertainty, influencing diverse reactions; the purpose or coordinated outcome remains unclear.
03:58 🛡 People respond diversely to distrust in media, some rebel while others comply; circles may influence perspectives.
04:52 💬 Use of strong words about humanity sparks reflection, aiming to provoke an awakening, trigger action, and transcendence.
06:19 🤔 Negative experiences, like resentment, can act as catalysts for change and activation energy.
08:31 💭 Confirmation bias shapes our experiences; the stories we believe determine our realities.
10:45 🔄 Your perspective on the present moment is shaped by the story you tell yourself about it.
11:39 🌟 Personal development encompasses masculinity, emotional openness, dealing with traumas, and being versatile.
13:29 💼 Masculinity includes faith, family, fitness, finances, and fulfillment, going beyond the traditional provider role.
16:44 🔴 Rejects the 'red pill' narrative; warns against ideologies that paint all women negatively, emphasizes the importance of family.
18:22 💔 Lack of purpose leads to seeking meaning elsewhere, causing addiction, anxiety, and depression.
20:36 🎯 Purpose and fulfillment stem from various sources like family, career, and connection to others.
22:13 🧘 Acknowledging the multi-dimensional nature of existence, wisdom from experiences, and the evolving consciousness in aging.
23:10 🧠 Understanding and reconciling with personal growth often involves a battle between inner voices, the body's deterioration, and mastering emotions and thoughts.
24:07 🚪 Negative self-talk is the conscience's way of signaling incongruence between how you live and what you believe. Living congruently alleviates this negativity.
25:30 🤝 Keeping promises to yourself is a potent strategy; failing to do so leads to a sense of unfulfillment and self-betrayal.
26:38 💔 The emotional impact of not aligning actions with personal beliefs creates a profound sense of inadequacy and disappointment in oneself.
28:11 🛠 The absence of positive role models and tools can create resentment, but understanding personal growth is an ongoing process helps overcome this.
30:20 🛑 Blaming past events or circumstances hinders progress; taking responsibility and embracing personal development are essential for moving forward.
32:29 🧩 Achieving financial success doesn't always equate to personal fulfillment; addressing past traumas is crucial for overall well-being.
36:11 💪 Overcoming trauma can transform it into a personal superpower, helping one move past shame, rage, and confusion towards healing.
41:31 🌟 Disassociating from past traumas can lead to understanding, healing, and transforming a significant obstacle into a minor challenge on life's timeline.
44:16 📜 Bedros wrote a letter to his younger self, acknowledging past trauma, paving the way to open up to his wife about it.
45:12 💬 Speaking openly about his trauma at a public event was a turning point, sparking profound connections with others experiencing similar struggles.
46:51 💪 Transforming past pain into his superpower allows Bedros to connect, empathize, and guide others through their healing journeys.
48:29 👀 Childhood struggles became sources of strength-like his ability to observe intensely-shaping valuable skills and perspectives.
49:26 🚪 Unresolved past experiences can haunt and limit growth unless actively processed and utilized positively.
50:10 💡 Adversities-like being labeled in special education-were turned into strengths, crucial in Bedros' entrepreneurial journey.
52:23 💪 Healing through struggles creates a superpower; the gap lies between wanting the outcome and willingness to do the necessary work.
53:06 🛡 "If you're going to eat, get good at it": Handling challenges swiftly and effectively is vital in entrepreneurship and life.
56:33 🔄 Pivoting strategies swiftly during setbacks is crucial; dwelling in dissatisfaction prolongs the pain.
58:07 🏆 Focusing on small victories amid challenges leads to eventual success-a key lesson in Bedros' entrepreneurial journey.
01:00:51 🌟 Finding and stacking small wins is a strategy to navigate through the majority of challenging times.
01:03:39 🧘 Realistic enlightenment isn't perpetual bliss but stringing together moments of peace amid life's challenges.
01:04:47 🎯 Achieving success isn't about constant tranquility but acknowledging and celebrating small victories along the way.
01:05:15 🧠 Embrace moments of success, no matter how small, and allow yourself to bask in them to rewire your brain for positivity.
01:06:26 🌟 Take time after completing tasks or achievements to savor the sensation for at least 30 seconds, reinforcing feelings of accomplishment.
01:07:23 ⚡ High performers often tie self-worth to productivity, struggling to appreciate non-productive moments. It's vital to detach worth from productivity.
01:09:03 🌀 "Productivity Purgatory" and the "Dark Playground" reflect the struggles of always associating activities with productivity, leading to guilt and an inability to enjoy relaxation or fun.
01:11:08 🛑 Attaching self-worth to achievements or productivity is a coping mechanism. Healing from past traumas detaches self-worth from productivity.
01:14:47 💭 Becoming an observer in your own life allows for self-awareness, managing reactive thoughts and choosing responses consciously.
01:17:40 🔥 Use emotions, even negative ones, as tools for self-improvement, transforming toxic feelings into valuable assets for growth.
01:19:55 🎯 Avoid letting external enemies dictate your game or goals. Winning their game doesn't mean you've won yours.
01:21:44 🌟 Recognize and utilize all the elements within your control, understanding that personal growth requires using more than just a fraction of your capabilities.
01:24:05 💡 Awareness of victimhood mindsets and locus of control helps navigate personal struggles and avoid extreme external attributions for life's challenges.
01:25:57 🤔 Understanding and acknowledging grievances is essential, but dwelling in victimhood prevents growth.
01:26:55 🌱 Taking control in the current era allows personal growth; changing influences and actions can lead to progress.
01:27:38 🦀 In toxic communities like incels, hope is discouraged as it challenges the fatalistic mindset; action and hope lead to potential change.
01:29:18 🕹 Incels avoid action because it demands effort and change; this community discourages progress, promoting comfort in inertia.
01:31:53 🐑 Counter-culture beliefs can be as unoriginal as following the mainstream; being a contrarian isn't inherently sophisticated or smart.
01:32:33 🦀 Incel communities offer a toxic sense of belonging but discourage hope, stifling potential progress and personal growth.
01:34:21 💪 Emotional maturity drives discipline; despite adversities, maturity leads to consistent action toward one's purpose.
01:37:22 🤒 Embracing challenges, like performing while recovering from illness, builds resilience and increases one's ability to handle adversity.
01:40:07 🔄 Overcoming challenges increases confidence and expands capabilities; every hurdle cleared amplifies one's potential for growth.
01:46:04 🔄 Reflecting on personal growth over time can motivate change; evolving from complaint to becoming the hero in one's journey is essential.
01:46:32 📚 Bedros Keuilian is working on a second book in the self-development genre, exploring how instant change is achievable with the right approach.
01:47:14 🚀 Change can occur in an instant with the right mindset; Keuilian aims to share a method for quick change and sustaining a new identity.
01:47:55 🌟 Quick change doesn't mean it's effortless; while change can happen rapidly, it still demands effort and dedication.
01:48:08 🏋‍♂ Intensive personal development programs, like a 75-hour course, can drastically improve leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills.

It’s very interesting what Bedros Keuilian described that we are living on three plans
    1). The Body
    2). Energy…the souls
    3). And Conscience
Well, we are made in the likeness of God….The Trinity. So, not just physically like Jesus, but we have a spirit or a soul (like the Holy Spirit) and then we have our conscience…the ability to have self awareness like God the Father. We are made in His image in more ways than one.
We have the three planes that are separate yet we are one at the same time as well.

As far as I can tell Keuilian gets Williamson perfectly when he says he wonders if it is the people in the circles that Chris runs in. I've been a fan of Chris's for many years, first saw him on Your Welcome, I think. "We're going to vacation in Russia" -- then Covid and no vacation. I guess through Michael Malice, Williamson met Michaela Peterson, also unusual, then her husband and parents, and along the way tons of other unusual people who use their brains. Then moved to Austin which was always a strange town, now a jacked up strange town, and is in with the alt-of-alt of Austin? Am I right? It seems to me that he is not fooling around, has a clear plan, and executes every day. Ain't too many Kmele Fosters, Heathers & Bretts, Dave Smiths, or Tom Woodses in the masses, but there are on this channel, in Austin, in Nashville, all in those/his circles. Mr Keuilian is correct. Even though there are more and better connected human beings, there is still the mass of human animals.

TL:DR Edit: Off comment on metallic taste after excerise. Has made me realize that isn't me dying. So, now I can work out again. Thank you.
10:02 THANK YOU! I hope you see this Chris, so you can know how mere throwaway examples can be so helpful. This may have just changed my life. Ima try and keep this brief as possible (I'm bad at this). I have been in a absolute misery with my health. Non-active for like 7 years(movement to my fridge and back into bed essentially, or to the couch). Anyway, that has made my physical tolerance drop WAY below what I even imagined. Cause, I'm a big 6'4 guy who used to have great endurance. But, over the last couple years when I'd try to start a work out (like a max walk speed stroll for 30 mins). I'd get this fucking metalic taste in the back of my throat and "throbbing" vision. My dad died in 2019 right before my 21st. So, I have no one to ask if that is normal. Am I just over-exerting myself? Or, am I internally bleeding? Is it safe to do this again? Etc... I got high anxiety due to health shit, it got so bad I had to get on SSRIs cause I couldn't go outside without feeling like I was falling through the ground. And, anytime you look up symptoms. The answer is heart attack, Stroke, Cancer, or internal bleeding... And, what gives me anxiety is health shit; I've gone since I was 14 trying to figure out what's wrong with my stomach. Turns out I had fibromyalgia(confirmed at 16-17) and my doctor put me on three 600mg ibuprofen daily(since we couldn't figure out the cause). And, I believe that is what caused insane stomach issues(I'd be dead if I didn't research that and stop myself). It all went shit from there. So, I won't look up symptoms anymore. And, the doctors are just as clueless and sometime more so than myself. So, I've been winging it. And, I know I need to exercise but I didn't wanna croak from fucking walking or some shit. However, hearing that the metallic taste is from reaching a certain exertion level makes sense (just my perception of what I can do must be off, comparing myself to what my old self was able to do. And, trying to gauge what I should be able to do from there. I just didn't lower the min/max bar far enough. So, I thought something was wrong). Now, I can know what point I've hit if I get that metallic taste. And, scale from there. And, I'm choosing to believe this is the answer. I'm at rock bottom and at least if I'm wrong and do go down via walking to hard XD. I was at least fuckin' trying.

I wish that Chris, Tom Bilyeu, Huberman, Attia, Ferriss, all of the top guys in this space (or, I would challenge one to do this) would stop producing content until they received 100 video confirmations from men and women on HOW they were changing their lives as a result of consuming self-improvement/optimization content.
Even better if these videos were from friends of these people, talking about the positive changes in them.
Because let’s be honest - how many people go on TH-cam, watch these videos, get a serotonin and dopamine hit at the anticipation of becoming a better version of themselves, tell themselves and others of all their big plans - and then don’t do fuck all except watch more videos? My guess: 95% +
Call it out Chris. Make people earn it.

I have quickly become a Chris Williamson fan. Bedros is the first person Chris has introduced me to that I think needs to take a step back. I don't know Bedros, I won't judge him on this one interviews. I will say *Words Matter*. "Man up" is a loaded phrase - why use it, if you really meant "Human Up"? "The Peasants of Humanity" is also a loaded phrase. Saying it as "a hope that is triggering to most so that they will understand the point that I'm making..." and a shrug of "will I get some hate messages...yeah, I'm used to that" just clouds the message. Bedros has plenty good to say, I'm sure, but the first 10 minutes here distracted me from much else in the interview.

The concept of being “selfless” is an odd one.
Why on earth would we strive to be “self -less”.
The self should be honored and developed not dismissed

Selfless is an ideal. It means that we cannot become our strongest, best selves until we work realize our purpose as servants to others and the higher good. The best way to do that is to seek God.

Respectfully disagree with you Chris at 1:19:00. Having external enemies be it real or imagination can be an extremely useful tool. Of course agreed upon the fact that you don’t let this one aspect consume you, but greats like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan have spoken on this many times, that this concept of proving haters wrong is 100 percent what drove them daily.
