I've often wondered how this song can be performed without the artist breaking down in floods of tears. I grew up in West Belfast and remember well,the night the alert went out that Joe Mc Donnell had died. I was only a child and the bin lids woke me up. The rioting that followed his passing was ferocious and his funeral was huge. 1981 was a memorable and turbulent year in Northern Ireland. This is a powerful song about a man and his nine comrades who gave their lives for their beliefs. All I can say is,they will be turning in their graves at how their people sold them down the river and made mockery of their monumental sacrifices.

I subscribed to your TH-cam channel and to this day I don't think I've ever subscribed to any other TH-cam channel 😂...
