    Solid truth and it applies to more occupations/professions than everyone realizes. WAY too many inexperienced people getting thrown the keys to high dollar responsibilities without the experience to back it up with solid results. Thanks for telling the truth even if it’s hard to swallow Mike. “Facts don’t care about your feelings”! 👍🏻

      Well it's about to accelerate in Canada.
      August 1, 2023-Ottawa-Canada’s Express Entry system is now tailored to provide a streamlined and efficient pathway for individuals with expertise in critical fields. By prioritizing the invitation of skilled newcomers with experience in the trades, Canada aims to meet the increasing demand for talent and fill key positions that contribute to the nation’s economic growth and advancement.
      Today, the Honourable Marc Miller, the new Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, announced the first trades round for category-based selection will open this week. This focus on candidates with trades expertise-including carpentry, plumbing, and welding-will help Canada’s construction sector attract the skilled talent it needs across the country.
      Their home country training should suffice.

    Great to hear from a pro about how to enter into the spray foam business. There is simply no substitute for Apprenticeship in any of the trades. That kind of educational experience is a must to be a pro with consistency, reliability, and integrity.

    Superintendent here and I agree whole heartfelt that you want experienced well trained trades people who have been well taught through various methods. We've all heard the axiom, "good workers are not cheap, and cheap workers are not good" !

    Another quality video. Many great points.
    Unf.. I had the company I chose out 4 times to fix problems and misses. The guys just didn't care. Didn't want to listen. You could also smell weed on them. Which I have now banned from any contractor.

    If you want to start from scratch, go do batt insulation (see what I did there?).

    Great content! I’ve been doing doing attic work. Blowing in instillation and working in crawl spaces. I’m just getting into spraying and boy is it a different world. Any more tips and tricks a rookie with a ton of drive and passion?’

    I’m in New Hampshire and renovating a 1960s cape. Can I spray against an exterior wall if I pull the drywall down? What keeps the condensation out of the cavity? Should I still put an air barrier up before reinstalling drywall?

    • @thezfunk
      @thezfunk ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are spraying closed cell foam then that is an air and vapor barrier. You don't want to sandwich two vapor barriers against each other.

    • @SprayJones
      @SprayJones  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes we spray to the outer most substrate. We are the air barrier and moisture control. Watch the video on how much foam to control condensation.

      Thanks. I guess that makes sense it should stay warm to the foam so no chance of condensing inside the wall cavity. I was afraid in the winter here it may permeate the drywall and condensate on the surface of the foam.

    Love the videos Mike. Can a room be spray foamed to sound proof it?

      @@SprayJones I had watched some of your previous videos where you had mentioned that. I have reached out to several companies in my area waiting for them to get back to me. I love your videos, they are very informative. I appreciate this knowledge.
      Thank you again.

    My son could spray 1/2 lb. open cell foam and make it as smooth as 2 lb. closed cell. Not many people can do that.

    • @SprayJones
      @SprayJones  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ya... interesting since it isn't designed to do that.
