Aurora is a STUNNING live performer. A personal favorite is the HAIK concert "The Seed".

When she starts chanting with the male choir in that video it reminds me strongly of a haka! (I think that's how it's spelled?) Feels so powerful.

Great reaction! Suggestion: Through the eyes of a child from Nidarosdomen concert, or The Seed from Haik Concert (or off. Video).

A while ago this but had to comment. This song, this singer, the guitar, the harmonies, oh my, just unbelievable.

I find it hard to look away when I see her perform live, even the songs I don't care for as much. I agree that her gestures and mannerisms seem completely genuine. I'd go so far as to say it seems like she has no control over them whatsoever, they are just what her body does when she enters the flow of her music.

She discovered themselves from watching herself on TV for the first time. They are not involuntary, but instinctive. She tried to "fix it" - but discovered her body tensed up and affected her singing. So here we are. I love it - it is like she is performing this subconscious dance or "pulling the notes" straight of the air around her.
In addition, she does a lot of band-direction with her hand. You see it a lot when Silja/the band drop into a chorus that Aurora both declare accent and pitch-direction for slides and all that jazz. (She/the band quite likes to ghost/syncopate quite a lot).

This performance is just so artistic in every respect and one of the most captivating I've ever seen in my life. Aurora has stated it IS a love song, though a tragic one. The ultimate action of love may be as harsh as this.....maybe... Thx for this great reaction.

Yes she's amazing live, she pulls you in and makes you feel as connected to the song as she is. She is beyond any artist I've ever listened to.
Please check out Aurora - Through the eyes of a child (live at Nidarosdomen)

She is an artist, and every performance is an art presentation, and a very holistic one which incorporates her awesome voice, her gestures, facial expressions, dancing, and her general quirkiness to make one of a kind art. And Brad, you are right that with others, those things would seem forced. With Aurora, they fit together perfectly to make Aurora Aurora.

Aurora simply has performance super powers. Amazing, magnetic charisma in every gesture. Aurora was 19 at the time of this performance. Try and find another 19 year old who can match this at such a prestigious international event. Some may be able to sing exceptionally but I don't think any could match her stunning stage presence and the magic she creates with the alliance of music, voice and movement. Brad, you need to watch some interviews and some of the recordings of her live streams. Aurora is thoughtful, intelligent, wise, honest, witty, funny, disarmingly frank, playful, quirky and just an amazing authentic individual. At the first small performance she did after the long lock down she began with "Hello humans" then said "I almost peed myself because I thought 'What if I forgot how to play piano?'". She is just so genuinely honest and says what she thinks.

The He in the song helps his love to die by killing them and Aurora wrote that song when a husband killed his terminal ill wife out of mercy to spare her more suffering following her wish not to become trapped in her body and mind while waiting for it to stop... powerful message and voice from this petit young lady

  • @bartonbagnes4605

It's not just her version it's her song, she wrote it when she was a kid. Her voice, her actions, everything she does pulls you into her world, as she will again with the song "Through The Eyes Of A Child". Next Sunday is Easter, so one last time I request for you to react to Claire Crosby singing "Gethsemane".

I hope you'll, see this, it's been a year since the post lol. Aurora will tell you now (probably out of respect for the deceased) that it's a story in her head. In one interview now taken down, she admitted she read in the paper one day that a man who lived not far away decided with his wife to end her life. She was either terminally or severely chronically ill.

  • @soleywolfgangsdottir

to this murder song, she read about a similar incident in the newspaper and was very touched by it. her movements are a pure expression of emotion. the management reccommended to stand still, but she is not able to stand still. sadly she is more in control of her movements now. i liked it though.
and i totally agree, the videos are nice, but live she is twice as good

In short, the song is about euthanasia. One partner kills the other to spare them suffering.
If you want to see what Aurora is like in interviews, check out this one. Extremely fun and only 5 minutes.

In an intervju she said that she looked at a video of herself and was a shocked. But she also say that she let it all flow, using her entire tiny body (160cm) to help her message.
Intervjues with Aurora are all from deep thinking to fun comments. She loves to give surprise answers to teas the intervjuer. They quickly learn not to ask open questions: what are the things you like to do? Answer: paint, read and masturbate 😂
(Video: Aurora sure know how to intervju)
But dont get me wrong.... She can be deep, and she is a highly intelligent woman...

She's ASD (autistic) so she may actually be playing a video of what's happening in her head. Many autists can see in pictures &/or can create and play movies in our minds/minds eye. Some of us can even insert ourselves into it first person and experience it almost as if it's literally real. Hope that's helpful. Be well. :-)

I'm a huge fan of Aurora, but for some reason this song just doesn't sit well with me. I can appreciate voice and intensity in it. But as far as her songs I usually very much enjoy my journey through them, this one just feels like dispair from start to finish.
