I just want to say that I'm glad you're still going into these new sets mostly blind. One of the most fun parts of a new set is watching you figure out the cards and all the new mechanics as you go, and still do well against other content creators and other players who have familiarized themselves with the entire set beforehand. (Even if comes at the cost of you having to quickly read all the walls of text in cards these days hahah)

the salvo worked because the copy saw the real one as a "other spell cast this turn", in addition to the copy is 2 + 2 for 4

@@xromasikthat's correct, the copy isn't cast. However there were two spells cast that turn (the Salvo & Return the Favor) which the copy sees. The original gets to 3 because Return the Favor was on the stack when it was cast
@@xromasik Yeah, copying isn't casting. But the copy was put on the stack after the original. So 2 spells had been cast by that point.
@@xromasik yes but when the copy of the spell checked how many spells were cast, it counted the original as separate, meaning it dealt four and the original dealt three

i was simulating a draft earlier and i managed to combine loot with the simic uncommon that discounts all of your plot and exile spells. i was skeptical of the 1/2 statline at first but 1 mana plot into 2 mana oko thief of crowns is just so damn good
The reason for the variety and strange cards in the bonus sheet Kenji is they are all designed to commit crimes some way or another.
The trifecta of watching LSVs perspective then watching Reed Duke's perspective then watching Nummy's perspective. By the way LSV beat Reed Duke and believe he had 2 of the Dust Animus

Arid archway looked really good, then I realized it was a bounce land. Gosh I hate those, I only play commander so it was always land turn one, bounce land turn two then discard to hand size! XD

The reach symbol wasn't the problem. It was the stupid flying animation making players think it could only be blocked by creatures that had the animation. Never hidden deathtouch or first strike. But at least it's in your face now so we get 2 dumb animations you have no control over.
I beg please Arena let me turn off all these stupid animations my laptop cannot handle it
Set isn’t even officially out yet but taking the armadillo over the duelist P1P1 might be the craziest decision for the entire lifetime of the format lol

22:23 Easy to miss with the cards being new, but unlike most similar tricks Quick Draw actually adds a point of toughness. Could have cast it to save the Silver Deputy and set up to impulse draw 2 cards off Loot next turn.

Sterling Hounds might be good.. I loved the sanitation automatons... Some synergy with Loot - gives a second type and of course good for surveiling to actually draw the darned plushie and/or colored lands for it.
Of course at 3 mana it might not have the ability to save from mana screw like Sanitation Automatons -- but Surveil 2 is better than two surveil 1s ..

Only grievings i have in this draft ... or only two ...
Grindstone and Mana Flooding or Screwing.
Out of 3 Drafts i done. I had two early loses just cause i pulled 8~12 out of 16 Mana ... nearly in a row or just 2 Mana and then 10 spell cards..
Somehow i have terrible luck or the algorhytmic math power hates me. When i wasn't screwed that way i mostly did green/red, which is really good to unscrew ya or sac lands for extra card draw.
Grindstone ... is broken. Single mana decks will instant die to it. As nearly no one has artifact removal.
Died once to it. Only reason it took 3 turns for the enemy ... i had some colorless cards..
Not saddling that bear against lab seems wrong, even with the possible lullaby

The Salvo counted the original Salvo when it got copied which upped the count.

Apparently people just refuse to watch MTGO. They are offended not seeing flashy animations. He didn't even do an invasion block flashback draft despite it being one of his favorite formats, because "it would not get any views". Would you go to work today if you were only getting payed 1/2 or 1/3rd your wage? You can still watch him do vintage drafts on card kingdom channel though

My junk laptop already crashes on arena every hour this is just more junk to animate that can't be turned off. They could have just had the small icon flash or something they don't need it to be a giant alarm
