    *still pack 1: yes, you did lvl yourself out of green.
    But you also found a reasonably on lane as well

    55:24 "How do people get into White-Green? How do you do it?"
    I figured your comment may be in jest, but I thought I would answer it anyway. My speculation is that sometimes during drafts, some drafters may draft more conservatively by prioritizing colors they speculate would be more open (similar to how you handled drafting Pack 1). When more drafters go into a draft under the assumption that the better colors in a set (such as Green in Outlaws of Thunder Junction) may not end up being open and will dry up faster late in packs, it avoids the risk but can open things up for the other drafters. So some people may avoid that color, but in doing so they can cause a color like Green to end up being more open for the competition, allowing players in that group to make a move for a Green deck which is probably what happened in your group.
    Most Green decks in this set end up being strong synergistically with 3 of the other colors and Green features a lot of mana fixing to allow you to splash strong cards from other colors that might be a bit more open after Pack 1, so just forcing yourself into Green isn't always bad even if it dries up a little.

    Man that deck was playing out well. Seemed like a pretty decent lane to be in. Sometimes you just get MTGd. Looking forward to MH3 content.

    Thank god you took repulse over desperado lol. Repulse is probably the best blue nonrare (perhaps close with marauding sphinx) and absolute premium interaction. Almost a second open draft derailed by an early desperado

    Hey man, love your content.
    I was practically yelling at the screen not to play Lilah turn 3. Holding it until turn 4 would have been much safer. Your oppo would still have incentive to spend removal on the enchantment creature, and if they didnt, their turn 4 would get thrown off curve answering Lilah instead of bighorn. It looks like this play might have cost you big time.
    Still love listening to lords of limited podcast.
    All the best.

    This is the most tilting format I’ve played in a while. Most games for me seem to come down to who top decks the better rares.

    • @apeflight5553
      @apeflight5553 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +12

      This is a mindset issue more than a format issue. When you understand how the format works, you can absolutely increase your winrate just as much as other sets.

    • @damienbotts7981
      @damienbotts7981 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@apeflight5553 nah it literally comes down to who top decks better. Opening hand everyone has enough removal to deal with the bombs and keep the game balanced till both are out of resources and then one top decks there bombs and it’s over. It’s been in my favor many times too but almost the whole game comes down to like one or two cards.

      @@apeflight5553 maybe sure but I have a alright win rate so I can’t imagine I’m too far off. I’m more complaining that out side of a few uncommons and throw from the saddle, the only thing that matters is the rares. I will admit however to tilting to peoples mana bases. Quite a few times I’ve seen people playing 5 colors with what seems to be no desserts. Enjoy punishing them for it but I do tilt when they don’t.

      @@damienbotts7981 but that's just not true. Your commons and uncommons absolutely matter. Sometimes they are about making room for your rares, sure, but that's not very different from most other formats.
