The reason why is because the political left use these cases to pretend they care about Muslims, and to pretend Republicans hate Muslims. They do it to keep people divided, and so they can pander for votes. That is identity politics. The political left makes everything about identity, and they do it to keep us divided based on race, gender, religion, economic status and sexual orientation. It is very clear, but lots of people keep falling for it. It is very basic, take any story, or literally just make one up, claim it is racism, and blame the other side. Tell women men want to hold them back, tell gays straight wite Christian men hate them, tell non whites the white man is racist and hates them etc, then pander to them for votes. In reality they do not care at all, but pretend to care about each identity group, they only care about power.. That is how they can take a silly idea like being able to switch genders, which is highly absurd, convince people it can happen, tell them the other side somehow hates people that switch genders, then claim they will defeat the hateful people. It is all a scam for votes. If suddenly a bunch of people were born with unicorn horns, Democrats would instantly divide them into a group, give that group of people some corny name name, then make claims that Republicans do not want them to have any rights, and as long as they vote Democrat they will get the rights they deserve. Surely you see the pattern. It is no different with this case, they claim the right hates Islam, claim they do not want them to have rights, pretend to care for them, so that they seem caring to Islamic voters. Again, they do not care, they just want votes.

Some of the things his friend said sounded odd to me. One thing at random was when his friend said he found out that he was a Muslim as well and that he was shocked because he had initially thought “he was just a white kid from Boston”. With the first name Dzakhar, how would you have thought he’s just an average white Bostonian? That’s not an average white name-nor does he look like he isn’t ethnic. He also stated that when his friends and him were interrogated, there was an emphasis/partiality towards the Muslim friends, and… well no shit? When there’s proof the incentive for the attack is Islam, surely the police is going to put their focus on those of his friends that practice and are acquainted with the religion that sent them off the rails. Idk. Some things he said was just ridiculous. I’m also not convinced of his reasons for not giving the police the identity of his friend when the security cam pictures came out. I reckon he’s playing into the “it was incomprehensible that someone like him, so charismatic and sociable, could do something like that” because it’s easy to go with that when others who weren’t as close as you were are saying that about him. Sure, I cant say exactly how close of friends they were, but since it was revealed that Dzakhar was failing school, I’m sure his friend would’ve had at least the tiniest bit of doubt in him, yeah that’s not anything close to thinking he could bomb hundreds of people, but I just don’t believe that he thought of Dzakhar in a positive, charismatic light as is described in the documentary. I think he was close enough to notice his change in behaviour and probably would’ve heard rumours on campus about his drug business, and certainly close enough to discuss Islam with him. Not saying he was in on it, but just that there probably was a real reason why he didn’t go to the police to share his suspicions-maybe personal contempt for the police, or afraid of incriminating himself.
