Another great video, Steve! I know you avoid reading these messages, but if anyone from this channel's membership reads this, here's an FYI nobody asked for in response to Steve's mention about epoxy resin not being suitable for food: Due to the xenohormones in plastics, it's also unsafe to microwave food in plastic; even so-called "microwave safe" plastics can result in . These hormone mimics leech into foods and even skin when heated. Hormone mimics contribute to hormone sensitive cancers like breast, testicular, and prostate cancers, for example. I've seen some resins available for sale that claim they're "food safe." That said, the hardeners in nearly all plastics I know of contain hormone mimics, typically mimics like androgens (human sex hormones) such as estrogen.
I love how these turned out! I also use my tumbler curing machine to cure resin in molds, but you have yours set up to work a bit more efficiently than mine. You’ve inspired me to fix mine up! ❤️
Demolding is my favorite part...of course! 😆 Actually, I love designing, too. Ooooh, that blue plate is GORGEOUS!!! BRILLIANT, Steve! Super ideas for finishing off so many things...love them all! 💕😍👍
love them, Steve you are a smart cookie. Merry Christmas Steve to you and your family, I hope you have a wonderful time full of joy and laughter. Take it easy and enjoy them.
These are absolutely gorgeous, Steve. ❤️😁 You are amazing. And nice hack with the tumbler curing machine. 👍🏻 Love your enthusiasm over glitter. Never change.
Only for those who have them. My space is so limited I'd end up getting my "license to resin" revoked by my family if I added that much more equipment to my over-populated space that I already take up! Everyone doesn't have this advantage.
@@jaykb6587 Oh, I understand completely. Three of us live in a small ranch style house (a one level with 4 rooms, a bungalow), so I have extremely limited space and the other two family members work from home. I cannot resin in the house without exposing them to the resin. I can only resin in warm weather outside. Also, 1/4 of the living room is taken up with my crafting stuff. My family has forbade me buying more molds or getting into another craft. 😒 We need a bigger house. 🤞🏻
Fun techniques! I've done something similar with jesmonite and stickers, but I used acrylic paint and a sponge instead of spray paint. This is yet another method I'll need to try once the weather warms up. Would you mind sharong, how you managed to drill the persplex without it cracking? I've tried doing that multiple times, only to crack my projects.
That shell looks like a very young child got a hold of a marker and designed it behind your back. The beautiful red tray...a little (or a lot) more restraint of the sticker placement would have been better. The same with the beautiful blue dish. But that's just my opinion. Everyone has their own. What did get my attention, I use Jdiction epoxy for food trays, especially for holiday breads. It states that it is food safe. Am I wrong to believe in their labeling?
Ngl, I thought the dishes looked perfect after simply putting on the stickers. I would have just sealed the stickers in with a thin coat of clear doming resin.
I love watching the resin move - esp when mica powders are mixed in at different densities. It's like a kaleidoscope
Demolding is always the best part! These are lovely!
You can never have too much sparkle!!! Love these ❤
These are all classic tumbler techniques, looks great on trays!!

A Peek-A-Boo on resin molds. Great idea. Beautiful!!❤

Those all turned out really cool! I haven't seen that done before. The dish soap technique is my favorite!
Thank you so very much for sharing your time and experience with me.

I love these ideas. My question is: If I don’t use sprays, what do you or youuuuu recommend?
