Channel membership is well worth it : ) There are members of every skill level. I’ve found the folks there to be supportive and positive. I’ve learned a lot there.
Thank you for this Steve - just ordered the products on Amazon. Just an idea - have you thought about using sand instead of flower foam? Flower foam has a limited life however sand is reusable over and over again.
The members' group is fantastic. A wonderful source of support, inspiration, and occasionally excellent advice. It's very much worth the low cost of membership.
Thank you Steve. This is what I love about you you’re quite happy to share about costing and selling for those of us. Who’ve got absolutely no idea. I don’t really make things to sell, but this year a couple of people have asked me to make things and I had no idea of how to charge. You’ve really helped. Thanks againXX
Steve, thank you for always doing things for those of us who live in the US as well as those who live in your UK. Like having a link to your Amazon store in UK and US. You are such a thoughtful person and I have learned so much from you just in the short time I have been watching your videos. I truly thank you my friend. Loads of love from the US!!
Lovely but I think the hearts have the wrong orientation. I would do them facing down the hand and finger, TFS. Love watching your vids on both channels
I find, where I am, those would sell mostly to kids/teens which is great at craft shows. Adults here seem to go more for the other resin rings I make that are not adjustable. I do mine pretty much the same as you do (figures since I learned from you). I either use bezels or UV resin but I've never scratched mine first.
I never scratch mine and haven’t had an issue. I do like the nail polish idea. Steve, (or anyone else who would like to answer) how much do pay yourself an hour?
Love your channel, I also make resins but I'm unsure on how much to sell my items for. How much do you sell your bowls and keyrings for xx Also thank u for your content it helps me so much and you are so creative 💖
Steve, I have recently become concerned about yellowing of UV resin. You did a great test with epoxy brands. Any chance you could do a UV resistance test with UV brands?
Thank you for your videos, I have been learning so much. I have been wondering if I should get a uv resin kit for making small pieces of jewellery that I make rather than using the epoxy resin that I have been using.
Thank you, may I ask a question please, if I used an opaque epoxy resin for the bottom, let it cure then put a clear uv resin on top would it be able to go together?
I think I'm missing something on the "time" part of your pricing calculation. I can see the time to work on the bracelet may be .45 of an hour but it looks like it's 45 cents?🤔 That can't be right...right?
Key takeaway here is selling at craft fairs, etc. Because selling these on Etsy or wherever you would have to charge so much more that no-one would buy. Why? Because Etsy has become a drop-shipper’s haven and competing against someone who is buying mass produced c**p from China is getting onerous.
Is it just me, or does anybody else have a hard time believing that these things even sell? Does anyone on here have any experience of people jumping at these types of designs? I’m sincerely asking, not being snarky at all.
Your comment does read rudely. Each person and their likes are different. So, just because you may not like them, doesn't mean others don't. With my own sales things I have made and thought erm that's a bit pants ends up flying off my site and the ones that I think are stunning and everyone would like stay on my shop for ages. You watch.... Steve is getting a cult following, you wait owning a Steve macdonald original will be worth thousands in year to come! 😊
The thing about sales is to know your audience. These are clearly low-cost kid's jewelry. I can definitely see kids asking mom for $2 for a ring or $6 for a bracelet.
Wboutsianis they do sell I used to go to the gem and jewelry show all the time in Washington DC and the table that sold jewelry like this always was packed. So the next time before you make a rude comment do your research
Yes, it’s a great group. You won’t regret joining
Thank you, it is a brilliant group and everyone there are so helpful ❤❤

Thanks for that!

Those are really pretty! I especially love the ring and bracelet with the heart!

Love em!!
I did not think of scratching before doing this type of jewelry! Also I never cleaned them with alcohol.

I truly enjoy your videos. You are a great teacher and I have learned so much from you. Thanks so much and keep them coming 😀
Great tips Steve 👌
I love making jewelry with uv resin. Because you can price them reasonably, they are my top sellers at craft fairs and online. 😊
I never scratch mine and haven’t had an issue. I do like the nail polish idea.
Steve, (or anyone else who would like to answer) how much do pay yourself an hour?
What is the stick thing you are scratching the bezel up with? Please and Thank you
Great video, but I couldn't find the stick that you use to scratch the bezel with. Please share 😊
Love your channel, I also make resins but I'm unsure on how much to sell my items for.

UV resin is great for jewlery. I have linked the ones I used in the description, they are excellent quality.

@zenasorrell6846 in case Steve doesn't get back to you, they will definitely adhere to one another. No problem at all. 😊
@Ali-H3444 thank you so much 😊

Hi,, I have been a member for several months and my name has never appeared in the list. What have I done wrong?

Also I am sure I am not the only resin creator who uses others ideas and play around with it and make it their own, videos like this help with that!!

Steve this is a fabulous idea I could also do them with paint skins
