I suggest sticking to food in their natural state, as God made them. Whole foods. No processed anything. No processed flour, sugar or meats. No seed oils, only good olive or avacado oil. I cut out milk and eggs too. As for animals, they are not natural if they are fed only corn and pumped up with antibiotics and hormones. Wild fish, chicken, meat. Just my opinion but I am seeing Hugh improvements

Most of the more severe illnesses happen to people by having a traumatic event take them by surprise, unexpectantly, impacting first in the brain, then in the corresponding organ which that part of the brain controls. The end of WWI had absolutely everything to do with the Flu and lung TB outbreak that occurred killing millions. In nature, the biological conflict linked with a territorial fear (just what it means-a fear in your territory, your home, your community, etc.) is a widening of the bronchia (tissue loss). Your body attempts to widen your bronchia in order to allow more air into your lungs to give you more strength and energy to fight to keep your territory safe. Stay with me.......The biological conflict linked with a death fright impacts the lungs. The lungs attempt to grow larger in order to allow more air in because breath equals life, as we all know. No breath equals death.
While you are in the fear or death fright conflict, you notice no symptoms of “disease”, except you have cold hands, cold feet, you can’t sleep, you awaken at 3 AM every night, you have little appetite. During the war, millions of people were in fear of the bombing of their homes and cities where the war was most active. Fearing for their lives, their loved ones in the war, their ability to survive. The food in the stores was sparse due to shortages. This lasted for 4 long years! The longer the conflict, the worse the healing phase. Within 2 weeks of the German Chancellor announcing the end of WWI, these millions of people ALL went into the healing phase all at the same time. It is during the healing phase that you experience symptoms of illness! What is the healing phase of the bronchia widening? Severe bronchitis, pneumonia. The body attempts to refill this lost tissue and you experience inflammation, fever, coughing, body aches, fatigue, etc. What is the healing phase of the extra lung tissue that grew? Decomposing of the tissue by TB bacteria and fungi. The symptoms of this healing phase are: severe coughing up of blood and tissue, fever, inflammation, severe mucous, body aches, fatigue. During this decomposing of the extra tissue (tumor), the body expels a lot of protein, and without replenishment, severe protein loss can result in death. Antibiotics did not exist yet. If TB bacteria does not exist in a person or they have been vaccinated against TB (big mistake), then the tumor will simply encapsulate and become dormant and not harm you. Who died during the Spanish Flu? Mainly the poor who could not afford to buy meat and proper nourishment, and the people who were directly impacted by the bombings and destruction of their homes.
Millions of people suffered fear and death frights during the fighting of WWI, and millions of people all went into healing at the end of it. Not everyone was affected because not everyone suffered the same way.
It’s not a “flu”, it’s not something you “catch”. It’s biological, meaningful, and unavoidable. One hundred years later, a Fear Campaign begins, using the media to spread it......

Now my diet has completely changed and I’ve improved a lot. One thing I disagree with is corn. My Dr said to stay away from it and I’ve heard it has high pesticides. I couldnt help but to comment about this podcast. Your body will repair itself, all you have to do is help it out by feeding it properly. I have been diagnosed with RA, cronic fatigue, fibromyalsha, all kinds of issues. I have been on 25 mg of mtx now for 5 years, it helped me somewhat, just really helped me enough to stumble through life at a very painful and limited ability. I finally had enough of it and decided i was going to own my own pain and try to change my life through diet and fasting. I will admit i 100% went overboard maybe but i stuck with it. Immediately i was loosing weight mostly through fasting, several 3 day water only fast over the coarse of 3 or 4 months. I looked better after loosing around 30lbs but didnt feel any better yet. I didnt give up, i kept doing what i was doing, eating clean, focusing on my gut health, not 100% vegan, i eat fish, eggs but have cut my portions. It took me 7 months to start to feel better. At first it was only an hour or two, that turned into a half a day, that turned into a whole day and maybe two days in a row. Right now i only have a bad day maybe once a week, my energy level is back completely wich helps me manage my muscle and joint pain so much better than before. I can live like this unlike before the change in diet. I have lost 60 lbs, i can exercise now where i couldnt even consider it before the diet. The biggest thing i wanted to say was dont get discouraged, it could take 7 months like it did for me to start to see results. If you dont give it enough time you will never know if it will really work or not.

Truth ! When I was eating meat cheese and eggs I’d have severe joint pain and swollen joints . When I ate only berries and water for a day or two rhe pain started going down . So I have adopted a balanced vegan diet and I fast for a good 12 hours a day on good water . Amazing the difference. Yes I am have celicac or as one of my friend calls it “ silly ass “ disease .

Some people say that they have been following a vegan diet for years and still have this or that issue. I always wonder when I hear or read this phrase, is what kind of a vegan diet is that person following, is it a whole food plant based low fat diet or is it close to a junk food diet? The word vegan is a very general umbrella term that covers a wide variety of animal free way of eating, and the kind of vegan diet a person follows makes a huge difference. I had to tweak my vegan diet over the years and finally got it to an oil free WFPB diet a few years ago, more like the McDougall way of eating, and finally I am at my ideal weight and my cholesteral and BP improved.

At age 70 I’ve been WFPB for 2 yrs now. Waiting on diagnosis of autoimmune (after ruling out heart, lung and cancer) that has resulted in formation of a painful but benign soft tissue mass fused inside my pleura. Years of bad eating habits did this, but now hopefully can reverse some symptoms..

I never had ANY problems with inflamation of any kind. Great health into my 70s. I had low vitamin D and got COVID in January 2020 and I have longhauler COVID. I aged 20 years! Have arthritis, thyroid disease, HPA axious problems. Disautonomia and feel horrible! Have grown my own food and raised my own meat! Until covid I felt great, looked great, and never sick! I think molecular mimicry by viral particles left in the body from COVID are slowly killing us!

    • @tiffmercer4306

I think there’s something to that. I trained all summer (2021) to bike 100 miles in a day and to run my first 5K. Did them both. In November 2021, I caught COVID. I had so many issues with disautonomia, vertigo, anxiety, all out of nowhere! Thankfully, last summer, I wasn’t dealing with it nearly as much. But when I get sick, I do have issues with vertigo still and if I push too hard in too hot weather, I get anxiety attacks still. Makes no sense, but at least it’s not everyday, all day anymore. But I also blame mine on Covid since I had none of those issues before that.

Thank you so much for this information, Dr. McDougall. And thank you for bringing it to us Chef AJ. My daughter and I were watching this together and she really appreciated the way he explains things that makes it easy to understand. My son watched it too and liked it. My other son is the one we keep working on because he believes in meat as being most important especially since he has body builder friends who tell him how they eat lots of meat along with protein supplements. I've watched this twice and I leave these videos playing as background noise so that everyone walking through gets a little nugget of this and that, and it helps to keep this important stuff on our minds. Dr. McDougall we just love listening to you! Love Mary too! Thank you again!

Developing runny noses when eating is an indicative symptom of saliscylate or histamine food sensitivity. It usually ( unless born with it) develops from a leaky gut, or its something u r ingesting in larger quantities than u had previously ( hence see a reaction now). They are also spraying lots of fruit and veg with saliscylate to prevent them from ripening ... prolonging shelf life.
