Thank you so much for these lessons. They are very useful. My wife says that there are 2 Cambodian words for jealous depending on context. jror-naen when you are jealous of what someone else has. "I am jealous that she cooks better than me" => jror-naen the other is bro-jung "My wife is jealous when she imagines I go with another girl" => bro-jung. Can you comment if this is correct?

    Hi.
I am a Thai learning Khmer.
The words are similar but with little difference.
Jet in Thai is Jai. Both means the same. In Thai, we can use both as Jit Jai
Sabaai Jai (jet) in Thai means to feel at ease, to feel an ease of mind, after a problem is solved, rather than happy.
How do you say that in Khmer?
Pibaak Jet in Khmer means sad, while Lambaak Jai in Thai means to be in a dilemma: the kind of feeling when you are catch in the middle of conflict and you don't want to offend both parties. How do you say that in Khmer.
Does mian aa-rom means "to feel" in Khmer?
In Thai mii aa-rom (as slang) means "to feel horny".

How would you ask someone how they are feeling besides sok-sabaay? I sometimes ask "Ming mean aarom mech dai?", but then they are confused on how to answer. I want to know how they are generally feeling.

Your sentence "Ming mean aarom mech dai?" means "How are your feeling, aunty?". So it's not the same as "How are you?".

Why is arom spelled different in Khmer than its pronounced?

For ណ no sound because it has a punctuation above it and sub.consonant ម we don't spell with.

Yes, of course but in some cases "tunh" and "op-sok" is different. I will make a video to explain about this and answer all questions from the comment section.
