    This is one of the strangest cases that I’ve covered to date, Randy Stair’s fantasy was a very disturbing one. If you’re impatient or unsure about the length of this video, skip to 14:37.
    Thank you for watching another case by Coffeehouse Crime today folks, our next case will be an international one. What do you think about Randy Stair? Was this all avoidable? Please let me know below!

      This was 100% avoidable! He literally posted his delusions for years. What I really want to know is where were his parents? The people closest to him failed him. It's not like he was suffering from a mental illness in secret. And the fact that he got the shotgun from his own mother? I'm sorry, but it's cases like these that I feel other people should also be held accountable and take responsibility for the actions of the offender. Thanks, Adrian for more awesome content! Keep up the great work! 😊

    What's so amazingly tragic yet ironic is the fact that the whole point of Ember's character is to manipulate and brainwash people into mindlessly obeying her, eventually having them commit terrible actions.
    Like you can't make this up, it's absurd.

    • @goblin-night
      @goblin-night ปีที่แล้ว +40

      Actually, I think that that would make it more likely he go to this extreme rather than be something to help him come to his senses.
      Believers of various types do have times of lucidity when they realise to some degree that their beliefs are bullshit. They usually go back to the beliefs after the "crisis of faith" or whatever, but it matters a lot how the belief system explains how to interpret "crises of faith" or if the belief system addresses it at all.
      Imo Ember's brainwashing probably actually gave him a crutch in the form of an "interpretation" when his fervor would waver.

    • @zoegartham312
      @zoegartham312 ปีที่แล้ว +44

      @@goblin-night For me, personally, I think the most tragic part of this whole mess is that EGS was, from everything I have seen, really good and creative. It completely sucks that he decided to murder his co-workers and himself rather than actually making Embers Ghost Squad into a real thing that he could be proud of. With a little time and effort, it could have been picked up as a Danny Phantom spinoff or something similar, or it could have gotten him noticed by animation studios and by now we could have something else just as cool, or even better.
      The loss of life in these cases is always tragic. For me, it is the loss of Randy Stair's potential that really makes this case unique, and sadder than a lot of the other ones that Coffeehouse Crime and other similar channels have covered. I'd be insanely curious to find a multiverse where he didn't kill anyone but rather was able to channel it into his creativity, artwork, and storytelling and see what that universe looked like.

      @@zoegartham312 The fact that he took out others out with him in his twisted fantasy is the most tragic part for me. I think if you had a spotlight into most people's minds you'd find talent.

      @zoegartham312 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      @@InvincibleSummer-s8p I understand your point. I even agree with you. Thank you for sharing your opinion with me. I like having deep discussions about topics such as these; I always get different perspectives and learn to see things differently. I've seen the case of Randy Stair a number of times now on various channels, and the vast majority of the comments are about the tragedy of the shooting and the loss of innocent life, which is indeed incredibly tragic, and I by no means wish to downplay that. I'm simply trying to point out that it wasn't the only tragedy here.
      Further, for whatever reason, Adrian didn't mention two pieces of information that I found odd that he would leave out, as they are directly related to why Randy did what he did. The first was that he was at least into cross-dressing, and may have been a closeted Trans individual. He was found wearing his mother's clothing at various times, and iirc that negatively affected his relationship with his parents and was a primary reason he even considered having the shooting at the market.
      The second thing is that he was trying for months, maybe longer, to get recognized for his talent by various animation studios, and he kept getting denied. That quite possibly was the straw that broke the camel's back, as the expression goes... and if it was indeed that, then his talent deserves more recognition than it generally gets.
      Idk though, these are just my thoughts on the subject. Thank you again for your opinion. I appreciate it!

That one did not claim any lives (at least not directly), but it did cause an immense amount of trauma on a rather large amount of people through years of abuse, all because of a deluded individual, who was convinced they were the reincarnation of the character Jenova from Final Fantasy VII and all their victims were reincarnations of other characters from the game. The amount of times children who are getting bullied get expelled is sickening. Punishing kids who are already being picked on and hurt at school is the complete opposite of helping.A lot of the time these kids are being abused at home too. Expelling them just gives their abusers more reasons to abuse them. Everthing I went through led to a suicide attempt that put me in a coma for a few weeks. I am one of the lucky. I should be dead and their could of likely been other people around me who would have been hurt too. That was years ago and I have gotten help. It took a lot of bad things to happen for me to finally be put into intense therapy and get better. I am a rare case. Thats why this is so broken. His father obviously felt this way. Many people in the world think of things very simply and plainly. The reality of it is that our Western notion of how we should behave and
      what we should be doing is squarely based on what we can achieve. We've abandoned our spiritual self. As a result, boys like this happen. When I say "spiritual" I really mean our subconscious self that deals in symbols and archetypes. Things like philosophy, religion, and direction in life. Something that this boy was navigating, obviously, and without guidance. Which is dangerous and can end badly.

      We don't know what happened in his household. Although Randy made his parents out to be horrible people that only cared about him working, that was how he perceived events, not necessarily the reality. It's clear he had severe mental issues that were never addressed. How much his parents actually knew about his mental state, how much they tried to help, and what resources they had to rely on is unclear. The parents might not have had the knowledge or resources to help him, as this is often the case, even more so back when Randy was a child. And when he was a child, there was no way to know things would get this bad. It wasn't until after multiple traumas experienced without proper support that his mental health took an obvious nosedive and predicting what would happen would be possible. In fact, it's likely, if the traumas never occurred or he had a strong support system to help him cope with them, the end would have been different. But regardless, he was an adult by then. There would have been very little the parents, or anyone, could do. It's easy to blame the parents, and I'd bet money the parents were blamed every time he acted out. People often blame bad parenting instead of mental illness... but often... it's a result of the collective failures of the community and society. It's not really anyone's fault, but the majority of people involved contributed to it, most likely without meaning to.

      The meaning of life is our relationship with God. These four steps are the key to getting a Divine Revelation directly from him. They are something you'd eventually do if you took God seriously enough to read the Bible, while implementing its teachings. They are, forgive your parents, break down before Jesus, ask for forgiveness, and read three books of the Bible. Step four requires the first book of each testament, and one you chose yourself. The order is actually important. The steps build on each other. Each one primes your soul for the next. To be forgiven we must forgive. Mathew 6: 14-15. That's why forgiving others has to come before asking for forgiveness. Jesus will not forgive you until you've at least done the bare minimum, our parents. They're supposed to be easiest to forgive, because they've fed, housed, loved us to some degree. Our problems with them are supposed to represent our problems with God. This is why the bare minimum to receive the revelation is our parents. You'll still have to forgive everyone though, but that comes much easier after meeting God. I'm extremely serious and very literal. I'm not talking about signs, nor feelings, nor prayer. It's an actual literal pulled out of your body direct one on one conversation, nothing you can miss. nor misinterpretae. The vast majority of christans never bother to do what God wants seriously, so most never get this revelation. To most outside church their Bible is a paper weight, or at best a virtue signal. Their religion is in what other people think about them, not their relationship with God. Please do those steps I mentioned, there really is a Divine Revelation waiting for all of us. There's extraordinarlly important information we all desperately need in this revelation, but those who get it are forbidden to share it. The Truth that Jesus Christ is Lord is written on every human heart. We all have that knowledge inside us, but we bury it under mountains of pain and anger. Those steps clear away that garbage inside you, letting God heal you, so that his words boom clearly inside your soul. The entire point of our existence here is to Trust God enough that we pay him this mustard seed of Faith, so his Grace can remove the stain sin has left on our souls. Everyone that does not get this Grace is not forgiven of any of their sins, even if they turned around and we're the best person from 25 to death. Without Grace those first sins are still counted against you, tying you to the devil's punishment. It's not about being a good person, It's about being forgiven for when you weren't. The Bible is Truth. Please do those steps and see for yourself. Please take your salvation seriously.

That last suicide video of his was honestly heartbreaking when he asked how it had become like this. Of course, there's no condoning his actions, he took the lives of innocents for such delusional reason, and had he not ended his own he would deserve to have severe psych help from behind bars. But at the same time, idk, I just can't help but feel like if one thing went out of place in my life I could've been like him. He was so obviously lonely and didn't know what to do.
