Thank you for the English translation. Some of us are not good at Mandarin, still her songs are among the best even we don't understand what she is singing.
She has a lovely voice and can really sing, there is yet another great signer to replace her. Plus she is lucky (and we too) as she has a lot of great songs.
Without these great entertainers (such as Elvis, MJ, Lennon etc), earth would be a boring place to be.
You are welcome. I enjoyed her concert so much that I had to do something about it so others could enjoy it too. I only had a VCD that time and an LD. Now I have a DVD version of the same concert. Studying in St. Paul's Institution, from kindergarten to pre-University, I had no formal education in Chinese. Most, if not all of my classmates are quite illiterate when it comes to Chinese, but many do enjoy Teresa's songs. Now most of us are dispersed all over the world. In our WhatsApp group, they often ask me about Chinese traditions, for help in translations of some news or songs, etc.

Teresa always love to be close to her fans. She learnt how its like to be close to people when she sang regularly for the army. During that time she rubbed shoulders with sweaty soldiers during training.. marched hand-in-hand with them.. sat down on muddy grounds with the boys and being "thrown" around by them. She even joked about the special "scent" of Taiwanese people! Despite being so delicate and gentle, she does not hesitate to hug people or allow herself to be hugged by strangers because she would never allow any barriers between herself and her fans. This is yet another reason why she insisted in being able to speak to her fans in their own languages. This is one tiny reason why Teresa is great. Viva Teresa! In't this a beautiful woman?

Thank you for your comment. Yes, she is getting more and more popular now, after passing away on May 8th 1995. More and more young girls are imitating her singing all over the world, from China right down to Thailand, Malaysia, etc. Sorry for the late response. I've been away from TH-cam for some time.

You are welcome. I have been educated in English since kindergarten. I am not formally trained or educated in Chinese. My parents started teaching me to read and write before I started school and I picked up the language quite easily because it is quite common in our community.
